I don't know if we should sign Thomas, but wtf would signing him have to do with Revis?

Can't find the link about his injury, but most reports are saying that Pace may be missing the first 4 games.
Still can't see AT signing on as a bit part player, and really....is he really an upgrade on what we already have?
    Buyer beware, no thanks

you're right, the Jets are strapped for cash. the Jets have all the money in the world to pay anybody, especially since there is no cap. the Revis issue isn't about whether they have the cash flow to afford him. you seriously did not know that and thought the Jets simply didn't have the budget to meet Revis' demands?

Enlighten us. I haven't read a single report about Pace missing 4 reg season games.

We're not replacing anyone with him. We would be picking him up for depth. I honestly don't see any downside to this.

Based on looking at some of the poor showings on the 2s and 3s we could use an Adalius Thomas for depth

I'd rather just let Westerman play.

Adailius is slow as shit. He was a massive liability at the Pats and he got benched.

Didnt him getting benched have to do with an arguement with belichick about missing a practice or team meeting or something in a snow storm?

And hmm would he start on special teams ?

Apparently he was a special teams ace while playing for the Ravens, and lead their team in special teams tackles even during a season he ended up on IR.

He has a good history with Rex and Bart Scott so I dont think he will be screwing around if he came to the Jets

You have zero reason to be against signing Thomas now that Pace will be gone 6 weeks. There isn't even a little bit of risk in the move.

    I second this.

I think it is time to get AT in here. There is no way Jason Taylor is going to be able to handle all those snaps that are now slotted to go his way with Pace being out possibly 5-6 games. We need the depth and AT would fill that role perfectly. Sure, he is not quite the same player he was 2-3 years ago, but IMO, he is still better than what we currently have on the depth chart. I didn't really want to the Jets to go after him a few weeks ago when the rumors were flying about AT coming here, but with Pace going down, I think this is a must.

He's not a ST guy any more. He's lost too much speed and quickness.
