OMG with these value charts. If Brady was drafted in the 6th round..what was the value of that pick. Lets just say that the Jets have a couple players in mind that will probably be available at 15...or a couple that will be available at 31. Those players will not be available at 45. Why is that hard to understand? What is the worth of a value chart THE DAY AFTER THE DRAFT. If you were to take a value chart and trace back the draft of 03 lets say...it would be like reading a good fiction book. Value charts for later picks when nobody knows exactly who will still be available make sense...perhaps. Value charts for the first 45-50 picks is nonsense.
That was addressed last week. Biggest need is OL which is why the concern about Vick staying healthy and keeping Schaub as a backup. They create holes for the defense more than they do for Duckett and Dunn.
lost leverage THe Jets lost any chance of getting Atlanta's #15 pick when they agreed to Seattles pick. They should of asked for a 1st and a 3rd round from Seattle. Atlanta, was not going to give up the 15th pick when the Jets had already agreed to Seattles 1st round pick. This was amateur on the part of Tannebaum. He is a poor negotiatior and should take a course on negotiation and attend a few seminars.
