These new issues are on the same side as the bad Achilles. All on the left. The good news is his 40 year old right leg is in great shape. Ha.
Going Aaron Rodgers mode this week (doing a bunch of drugs and being bad at my job) https://twitter.com/danmancarney/status/1843008785956397363?s=46
I wanted to sign Carr and keep our draft picks. I fucking told you. This is Favre all over again. You guys have really shitty football minds. Same shit for brains as woody Johnson, at least he is making money from this. I will eat my words if we win out and go the SB, but I doubt it.
To this day I still haven't seen the Jets ranked as high as they were in a power ranking after beating New England & 10-0 Tennessee back-to-back to get to 8-3. #2 right behind the Giants I remember. Of course the NFL's iron man had to get hurt with the Jets.
Rodgers stunk up the joint yesterday. The pick six is a throw we've seen from the Sanchez, Geno, _____ bum QB they've thrown out there throughout the years. I never expected to see that type of throw from him. That said what I've seen so far from Rodgers this season to me he doesn't look done. He has plenty of gas left in the tank. He looked desperate yesterday forcing throws downfield. He wants to attack, he wants to make big plays and he's being shackled in this offense. Hackett is his guy so he's getting what he deserves but he doesn't look happy right now. This offense everything seems to be inside 10 yards. The Jets are playing these defenses inside a 10 yards and in box the majority of the time and force feeding Wilson the ball. The few times this offense has looked effective has been when Rodgers is spreading the ball around to everyone Conklin, Lazard, Williams, Hall etc. when that's happened it's been beautiful to watch.
we face an offense that is even worse than ours so we keep getting the ball back.... Titans and Pats are in the bottom 3 in yard per game were 6 from bottom
Thanks, not sure why I had it stuck in my head that it was the right. I guess that's... not so negative.
I was on the Carr bandwagon. Oh, full disclosure, I was also for bringing in Jimmy G. as well...so what do I know. LOL
Aaron Rodgers has no excuse now, if the Jets don't turn it around this season that means him and his ball licker groupie Hackett are the problem, and he can't retire soon enough and take the ball licker with him so we can go into rebuild mode sooner than later. Guy came here talking all this arrogance practically proclaiming himself to be Joe Namath, and has played like utter crap last 2 games bad coaching or not.
What we've learned thus far is this passing offense with Aaron Rodgers at the helm is highly reliant on receivers knowing exactly what to do based on what is happening defensively. Only Alan Lazard knows what to do in nearly every situation (but he is 50/50 on making any given catch). It looks like GW was making progress in the second half. The only way the passing game is going to improve is if the current receivers figure this out and/or you bring in receivers that already get it (cough, Davante Adams). Aaron Rodgers is wedded to this system so it is not fundamentally changing while he is on the team. The things that can be changed are :1) Situational Play Calling 2) Improved line play, including considering a new OL coach and reverting to zone run blocking 3) Until Breece improves, demoting him to number 2 on the depth chart
Rodgers did not play well. The 2nd int overthrow was terrible. The end of game int was a pretty awful throw too. But that pick six was the result of a great DC that studied film and studied our tendencies, and he told the defender if he sees a certain look and recognizes it’s a pass he can possibly drop back and pick it. That LB’s responsibility on the play was to rush the passer. He recognized what his coach taught him and made a great play. To say it was some amateur throw discredits a whole lot of intelligence, coaching, and effort from the opponent.
Brady wasn't just an exception. He's arguably the biggest defying age outlier in the history of pro sports. Of course you'd of just been "hating" on Rodgers for ever pointing that out before this past week's game
Harrison Smith walks up to the line, obviously blitzing, and Rodgers doesn't call out the protection to put a hat on him. That's a rookie mistake.. and the throw that was pick 6'ed was a terrible throw.
