I feel Rodgers hanging in there still playing and still willing to play in this lost season is extremely commendable. The New York Jets organization is fractured right now. I still can't believe this owner fired the head coach after week 5. The GM a few weeks later.
We feel you Shailene. https://blacksportsonline.com/2024/...oxic-situation-according-to-shailene-woodley/
That can be looked at 2 ways. Commendable for not quitting on his team like you feel, but also showing he could care less if the Jets win or not. He just wants to hang out with his pals and play some football for fun. That’s how I look at it. They should replace the Jets logo on his helmet with a poster for his new Netflix documentary Enigma.
When Joe D builds your offensive line the results are usually.... offensive. He got it wrong every single season and hamstrung teh whole team b/c of it. Mecki fucking becton over wirfs. smfh.
Becton is starting for the Eagles right now. I get the frustration on Wirfs but the story isn’t over for Becton yet.
True…funny that he’s playing guard though…I remember all his tweets about how he is a LEFT TACKLE I think half his problem is between the ears…kid needs to grow up
Kind of feels like he did grow up. Amazing how getting "let go" by your drafting team tends to bring these prima donna's back down to reality. Bitch of it is, our coaching staff should have had the "stones" to do that in-house vs. having to cut him.
I'm not sure how well he's doing, I've only watched a couple of Eagles games this year, but every time I noticed him he was somewhere other than the point of attack and it looked like it was a designed part of the play. 3 separate runs I saw him pull to the left and then they ran at his normally assigned gap with someone else blocking there. It was bizarre. He looked pretty awkward for the most part.
I’m not sure you’re viewing him playing through a narcissistic lense. I don’t think the guy is doing it to “hang in there” and be a “commendable leader,” I think he’s doing it because he is unaware of how bad he is, thinks it’s everyone else’s fault, and still thinks he’s going to go out there and prove how great he is.
watching sam darnold throw for 5 touchdowns today and leading his team to the playoffs , while we drafted a bust and gave up the world for Brett Favre Jr to lead us to a miserable season is just infuriating.
Clutch moment of the game and Rodgers selfishly tries to hit a homerun and takes a brutal Zach Wilson like sack, followed by Adams stupidly stepping out of bounds. Meanwhile Sam Darnold throws for 5 TD’s.
He went into Hero mode and lost us the fckn game! Too much for "The Legend" to throw the GD ball away I guess...
Tell me if this is all in my imagination, but yesterday it seemed that Rodgers was auditioning for his next team. I base this not so much as his actual play but on his demeanor throughout the game, which seemed a lot different than it had been in the past: 1. On the sidelines, he was actually interacting with some of his teammates and with Todd Downing. He even smiled a couple of times; and 2. On the field, he didn't seem to be scowling or throwing hissy fits whenever a receiver dropped a pass or whenever he threw an incompletion. To me, it looked like he was trying to convince potential suitors that he's not a complete asshole and bad teammate.
Maybe, but did you notice a difference in Rodgers' demeanor and behavior yesterday? P.S. You should hear my armchair psychology on Woody! LOL.
