I'm sure he had a lot of say with the packers and the last time they were in the Super Bowl was over a decade ago. Just saying! lol
There are certain things that can be deduce. Plus, I don't think that's playing the role of GM. More like speculating on a message board which is what a forum is for. lol
True. That is what forums are for. It’s all speculation. Including playing fantasy GM, we overpaid for so and so, we should have gotten so and so instead, too much time to negotiate, what’s taking so long, why don't trade so and so for so and so, blah blah blah without having the slightest idea how complicated the process is.
Odell played a half season with the Rams for 1.2 million. Now he wants 15-20 again. I don't know what worries me more, that would would sign him, or actually pay him what he's asking. However, the Rodgers Beckham, "I'm not getting enough targets" locker room showdown would be a popcorn event.
It truly is weird and wild lol. But the truth is nothing probably could've been announced until tomorrow anyway for to the nature of good extension last year. Have fun with it. Aaron is a fucking NY Jet and we have an opportunity to make a real run at something in 2023/24
Definitely not something a drama queen would do amirite? Having said that, I can’t believe how some of you are acting to some of the more benign shit. You’d think we’re some model franchise that’s bending over for no reason as opposed to a joke franchise that hasn’t sniffed the playoffs in over a decade. Who cares if he wants to bring in some guys he’s comfortable playing with? Is Cobb taking snaps from GW? We’re gonna fret over losing Corey Davis because of Lazard?
The fucking balls on this guy. Who is Aaron Rodgers to come here and dictate personnel moves to this storied franchise that is not only steeped in history but success as well?!
I think one aspect to this waiting game from Rodger's end is seeing if any information leaks from the Jets.s Considering all the conflicting reports, and really nothing concrete, I think JD and the Jets passed that test. The second aspect is I believe Rodger's contract is more complex than we understand, and there are time contrains to it that the Jets have to wait as others have alluded and commented on. I don't think this has been mishandled at all. Just a product of an instant gratifiction culture were accustomed to now.
The reactions are nuts. I’m not a fan of how he’s gone about this (assuming it’s even him causing the holdup) but to think we’d be better off without him and making a stink about bringing in some role players who will likely not take any time away from any of our good players anyway is some kind of take. 12 years of no playoffs and we’re complaining about 4th string wideouts because the presumed qb likes the guy.
This would be cute If Aaron Rodgers was actually qualified to play GM. He certainly wasn't that for the Packers. He certainly Isn't now. ..but, hey, enjoy the show.
4th string wideouts don't get paid 11 million a year. There are reasonable drawbacks to signing Rodgers that go beyond, "he could play great QB this year". Were going all in before were ready and the only real window for this to succeed is this season.
Luckily we didn’t sign a fourth string wideout for 11 mil a year. That would be foolish. Unless you meant… oh wait…
At least it's not Lamar Jackson who just rejected a $200M guaranteed offer. Even if Rodgers screws us up, it's a short term screw up. It would be a decade long fuck up with Jackson.
