you are acting like we are offering him a 4 year deal with half of it guaranteed. we know he sucks, but whatever.
Meh. He's a TC tryout who is going to get outplayed by McIntyre, Bellore or both and wind up getting cut.
Why is it that whenever a converted defensive end sucks in a 3-4 it's because he doesn't belong in that system? Maybe that player just sucks and doesn't belong in the NFL. If you think Aaron Maybin would be better as a defensive end in a 4-3 system in the NFL, you're wrong. The fact that he has difficulty maintaining enough weight to play OLB in a 3-4 and the fact that his game is predicated on speed proves this point.
Your user name is MikeDeVito and you don't think the Jets can develop players? Maybin likely won't amount to anything, but he's a zero risk signing.
Unless the plan is to move him inside for some reason, I don't think he and Bellore have any bearing on each other.
He can have Michael Campbell's spot. He doesn't have a legitimate shot at cracking the roster anyway.
If anything, I could see him getting converted to safety. I saw that suggested somewhere but I'm not sure where.
Put the shoe on the other foot. If the Bills brought in Gholston after the Jets cut him, everyone here would be in hysterics as to the foolishness of the Bills brass for even considering him.
Well the Dolphins proved that a CFL player could turn into a great pass rusher in Cameron Wake. The Jets might as well try to develop their own.
I'm putting a lot of stock in Maybin failing twice while he's here. Once as an OLB and once as a ST player which is the only chance Bellore has of making the team.
When's the last time we had an OLB with actual speed? Gholston doesn't count because he couldn't run in a straight line.
I think we're missing the Ducasse aspect of this all...if even Maybin can beat Ducasse for a sack during a scrimmage or w/e then we know he's fucked.
The fact that the Bills are the only New York State team, and you are referring to them as Canadian? I hope that wasn't it........
