so glad we gave this kid another chance after cutting him at the start of the year. Hope he repays the favor by signing a team friendly contract for the next 4 years
I want to rewatch this game, and pay more attention to him. CBS replayed a great pressure by him, nice move, and rushed down the middle of the OLine. Never seen him use that type of move before, and completely embarrass an offensive linemen. Usually his hustle/speed is what gets it done, but that play was him beating his man at the point.
It was funny I was watching the play and yelled Maybin right as he juked the shit out of the right tackle and then he fucked up Grossman and caused the fumble.
Id rather him not get those double digit sacks until after he signs a 4-5 year contract. Really dont wanna be paying this guy anything even remotely close to Cromartie money.
Maybin is not making half of Cromartie money no matter what he does. He was a bust for 2 years and now in a limited role he is excelling.
The best part? Maybin is piling up on sacks (6 by now, with 4 FFs) on Bills payroll while the Bills are rotting in hell now. And he is learning new moves too. He makes me smile. Har har har
Maybin just had his career saved by Rex and the defensive staff plus he isn't a true free agent after this season, if I'm not mistaken, since this is only year 3 for him. He will sign a reasonable deal.
would be Rex's first double digit sack master in Green and White. but that would require 1 a week from here on out. That would be insane to expect him to keep going at that clip. Teams know about him now, he will be getting double teamed (how awesome is that) and will likely make it more difficult to do what he has been doing. The season has been a success for Maybin, even if he doesnt make another play this year. In all honesty, I wouldn't be shocked if he ended up with 8 sacks, I just think 10 is asking a bit too much.
Don't you think the other team comes into each game and says we have to block this guy, he's their best pass rusher?
I don't know. Sacks are flashy, but we have to remember this is a guy who is not on the field for most of the defensive snaps.
