I think there is this huge problem in equating success on the field with doing things the right way. Fans and media alike.... The Patriots are depicted as a classy organization of sorts, with their skeletons (and they have a lot of them) pushed under the rug because they win, The Giants, Steelers, get the same treatment. Now they are doing it with Seattle. Now that they won a SB they are being talked about as winning the right way (and the discussion of them leading the league in PED suspensions in the Carroll era is virtually non-existent.) It's the same way in college ball: Florida State are supposed to be a classy program now that they won a championship? (never mind their QB "allegedly" raped a girl and they've been shady down there for years) same thing with Urban Meyer and his shady dealings at UF and OSU, I could go on and on..... Why is there a need to prop up winners in our society like they are perfect when they win? Can't we acknowledge that sometimes scumbags can win or even that winning in sports does not mean they are winners anywhere else?
Here the problem with a lot of people. They heard one side of the story and they already got him guilty. It funny to me that all of a sudden the DA case is falling apart. I don't judge anything until I have all the facts and we don't have them right now.
50 murderers x 1 murder/week = 2600 deaths. If you really wanna do the math, than it's "One innocent person" vs. 2600 innocent persons. In effect, you're advocating death of 2600 people per year.
