Looks like the AAF is already faltering financially despite great crowd turn out and better than decent ratings. Time will tell. https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...otball-league-investor-tom-dundon/2914727002/ https://dailycaller.com/2019/02/19/alliance-of-american-football-sold-tom-dundon-report/
It sure doesn't help to have Hackenburg kept in as starter--he's freaking unwatchable. Martz pulled his starter in game 1. Other players who are obviously lacking in skill are being kept in games and that is not fun to watch.
I feel like every game i've watched had an ex-Jet QB playing. Saw Simms out there also. Overall, I've only seen parts of a few games, but have enjoyed them all. Hopefully it lasts.
Up against nba all star weekend probably didn’t help. Rainy weekend coming up. That might help the ratings some
Looks like I'm going to see Orlando Apollos vs San Diego Fleet in a few weeks time. Anything you want me to shout at Jalin Marshall? He should hear me, there may be no-one else in the stadium by Week 8.
Watching Hack stink up the joint tonite. That kid really should just move on to his next life adventure. He sucks.. I mean he REALLY SUCKS. If this is his improved mechanics, he's in the wrong business.
First pass, a pick. QB 101 mantra: never throw 'late to the middle' (unless you name's Hackenberg). Another pick. Here's the equally depressing part: . we're supposed to trust the same 'talent evaluator' who saw "2nd round talent" in Hackenberg with improving the Jets' overall roster talent......nevermind the WR whiffs, the OL negligence, the absence of a pass rusher for the past 4 years, etc. etc...... .
Well, our Football Savant Chris Johnson thought enough of Macc to not only extend him, but keep him around yet another year after firing the HC for lack of progress and wins... Of course we're supposed to trust the process given all the success we've had over the 20 years the Johnson have owned the team. Nobody knows more about football than Chris Johnson. We're in good hands...
Why should it be classed as nonsense? It isn't up against the NFL, why can't you look on it as a filler in between seasons, a second-tier level of football not unlike the English football league pyramid, hell that goes down, way down the skill levels. With even more levels below this, every team has its own fan base however small. I just don't see the problem of this other league myself, then again I don't know if it gets in the way of college football? Which is the big difference to Soccer over here.
Because I have no desire to watch poor professional football. I don't watch college football for the same reason. If I don't have an emotional connection to a college team (like because I went there) I have no desire to watch what amounts to minor league play on television. There is in fact no parallel with your example unless you're talking about people who are fans of a premier league team and also watch on TV games from a 4th or 5th level league team just for the soccer. More power to anyone who wants to do it, but I am completely uninterested in doing something like that; I have a dozen better things to do on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. I don't crave football so much that I need a fix of bad football to get me through the spring.
Fair enough but it doesn't make it nonsense My home town football team play in the third division and I go and watch them on occasion, but I have always been a Man City fan and currently though not always been the case we are playing supreme football but I still would watch the lesser football if there is nothing else to watch tbh even if I had no emotional commitment to any team, better than watching soap operas or Jerry Springer style shows lol
i simply dont know when the games are on. marketing has been less than great, but it costs so much money to market these days.
WAs going to say the same but on the website it has a link to a free to air site but it wanted me to register and I didn't want to tbh. I looked for highlights on youtube and seen Stacy ex jet rb running amok last weekend and Hack running about a bit but throwing poorly.
Got a free night tonight so will kick back and watch some AAF! On another note, finally Singletary switched out Hack--that he took 'til the 3rd game to figure this out is crazy. Mekale McKay will get a look this Summer. GL to him.
