    1. I was at the Green Bay game. I thought that this was even louder than that -- it actually hurt it was so loud. The GB had a decent amount of no shows -- b/c no one thought it was going to matter -- certainly at 4pm that day it looked like the season was over.

    2. We have such an easy schedule that if we become a consistent decent teams we can have 8 wins. Are we good enough to beat the bad teams all the time--we'll see.

    3. BTW -- one of the posters said that he felt the Pats got cocky. I totally agree. I thought that the Pats in game coaching was not great. At the point where Brady through that INT -- I thought they should have slowed down the game. (On the other hand -- they have had a lot of success in going for the jugular in situations like that). I thought the PATS defense will be suspect against better teams -- non are in the AFC east though.

That would be me. But I tried to tell a Patriots fan that this morning, and you'd think I just suggested that we switch over to the metric system, or something. Apparently, I was being absurd.

Kyle Mackey. Started one game in 1989 and lasted a half, he was a leftover from the 1987 strike replacement team who stuck for a while. Worst Jets QB ever, I think.

Nice post man. I totally agree with you, especially about not touching Brady all day. He had all day to look over the WR progression to find the open guy. We need to get some kind of heat on the QB.

Your last point is the key. Good teams don't chicken out in the 3rd quarter, they keep playing the game that got them the lead. Of course it's easy to second guess after the throws the INT, but if you can't trust Brady who can you trust? You have to play to win the game. Hello?

The crowd was loud only for the comeback attempt. There were stretches in the first half though you could hear a pin drop, when it was still a game at 10-0. Jets fans get taken out of the game to easily & that's a bit dissapointing.. It got real loud at times but it was nowhere near as loud and rowdy as it should of been or has been before..

It's hard to keep going crazy when the opponent keeps getting first downs and marching up and down the field. You get up for a few 3rd downs and they keep making them, it tends to dampen it. I thought some people were leaving too early, assuming a FG would be a lock for NE, but for the most part people were into the game. How vocal should we have been down 24-0?

it was 10-0 for most of the first half.. The crowd got taken out of the game after the first NE score and didn't get back into it until until Cotch's Td..

Right, 0 is still 0, they gave us nothing to cheer for. They didn't drive past mid field and didn't really make a play on defense the whole first half. What exactly were we supposed to get loud about? They have to do something, at least make a stop on 3rd down. We got loud when that happened, the problem was it only happened once or twice in the first half. They got a loud booing after giving away 7 points at the end of the half.

This is NY, not KC, we don't just cheer because they came to the game, they have to do something when the game starts.

I agree I was sitting in section 211 and if they gave us a little more to cheer about in the first half it would have been very loud but the O and D didnt do much. During the third quarter the building was shaking with all of the noise and people on their feet. Eventhough we lost I still liked the fight we put up.

    Exactly....

There was also a huge amount of Pats fans at the game. Are we supposed to stand up and yell...Yay!!!...when they are sticking it to us? Plus it was very demoralizing because the Jets couldn't get close to Brady, couldn't run, couldn't protect Chad. It was a downer, but you gotta give the team and coach credit for coming back, and the fans that stayed got really loud at that point. There was a MN miracle vibe to it, but the J!E!T!S! came up a little short. A bummer, but we move on.

crowd noise is tough to judge from home watching the tv. . . but anyway, i wanted to weigh on another point made in the post

    6. It seemed all the Jet running plays were inside.

It seemed barlow had some success when the jets took a shot at running outside the tackles. with the pats playing a 4-3, i think the jets could have exploited this a bit. trying to run over seymour and wilfork and warren is not easy. With the jets lineman being a bit smaller and more athletic why not try to stretch the opposing D?
