I disagree, down 6, and he brings it within 3, it is clutch, especially on the yankees. It shakes the pitcher up for the rest of the lineup and with the type of guys batting, it could be deadly for a pitcher.
Jeter has never had a bad AB or a bad anything in a playoff atmosphere, right? I guess the 2001 ALCS never happened. The mighty Jeter could not bat .118 over a whole playoff series. Not captain clutch. LMAO I mean Game Six in the 2003 WS didn't happen. He wasn't 0-4 with 2 Strikeouts right. Not Jeter in the clutch with his back against the wall. Beltran only had a 1.054 OPS in the NLCS. But leave it to a Yankee fan to pick one AB and harp on it. The mighty Jeter never had a bad AB. Not once in his illustrious career.
Yes, Beltran, one of the historic clutch chokers in MLB history. I'm going to totally ignore his .366/.485/.817 career postseason line because he struck out looking once.
I swear, it's like talking to children, except children eventually fall asleep. But good move Mets fans. You've managed to ignore anything I've said, and totally changed my argument for me. Very nice. Congratulations, you have Champed me. Now go talk about your shit team elsewhere.
no,but they did start in his first year. He was part of a championship 4 out of his first 5 years,I like to think he was a big part of it.
Except that the only one actually bringing up the Mets at all in this thread is you? or are you saying that I am not allowed to post in your thread because of the team I root for? In regards to A-rod's "clutchness" it blew the game open, but it was against the Devil Rays already up 2 with the best closer in the game coming in, so sorry if I thought that HR wasn't too much of a factor. Although I do agree that the hit before was more important. You should learn that is possible to actually post about something other than your team.
It's a thread about Alex Rodriguez, a Yankee. Yet somehow, this thread has managed gems such as: What was your point again?
That is 1 poster and yet you clump everyone together, unless you want me to start treating you like Drob63 now, and what is the difference with what I posted with what MM and others posted?
Ugh. This depresses me. Every single Yankee thread gets started into a Mets/Yankees debate. Can't we all just be civilized?
We could start talking about when Arod will break Bonds all time HR record...just to spice things up.
