Its quite ironic to see people hyping Thomas again. If anyone recalls this board in pre-season of 2002 had almost universally elected Thomas into the hall of fame. I remember thread after thread stating how much luckier we were in having Thomas over the panthers number two pick that year Julius Peppers. In other words this board always overreacts to every good or bad performance especially pre-season performances.

I just hope he has a solid year. He played very good in 2004 when Abraham was injured and looks like a natrual for the DE/OLB hybrid position.

I think BT is pretty good. Maybe he's responding better in this Preseason because of better coaching. Maybe now he will live up to his hype. He might just get better because this is basically going to be the first time he's a starter through out the season. So lets just see what happens before everyone gets so down on him again. I would love to see him be able to shed all of his previous disappointments.

i have been very, very impressed by BT. Yea it's only the preseason. But i really, really, really like about what mangini is doing is that the people whose jobs may not be fully secured (hobson and thomas), he's keeping them in till like the third quarter. But back to thomas, i think he'll do well as an OLB because he still has the ability to rush the passer like a DE, but he now he can slip into holes instead of forcing himself past the tackle. And he's also been fairly good against the run.

I'm sorry, but Bryan Thomas just seems to be as dumb as a donkey.

He also played OLN in college. Also he was drafted by Parcells to play ROLB in our 3-4. Parcells seems to know a little or 2 about 3-4 OLBs.
