While the Jets are clearly headed to the bottom I don't find this trend frightening. We went through this in the 70's and while it sucked it wasn't really frightening. The thing you can take encouragement from is there aren’t any dynasty type teams today like there were in the 70’s. We can suck for a decade and still have pockets of competitive football because generally the league sucks. Rooting for a shitty football team isn’t a scary proposition once you readjust your expectations.
