I think the forum discussions on qb ratings have basically proved that they are less than meaningful and cannot be used as evidence of quality QB'ing.

Farve has made at least 20 throws this year that Chad could or would not complete. We at least have a chance to win every game we play. Qb Ratings mean nothing at all. Brett has the edge in the Stats that matter which are yards and T/d's. How many T/d's has Chad thrown to a Wr this season?? It's early buy Miami's season will end 6-10 they way it is supposed too. The league will catch up to their formations.

W/ ALOT less talent Chad has Miami just 1 game behind us and thye beat the 2 teams that Breet couldn't beat w/ us. Miami will probably go 6-10 but w/o Chad they may have won 2 or 3. The Jets with Chad would have won around 10.

This is true, Favre has made a few throws Chad never would have completed. But, he has also made costly throws that Chad would never have thrown. Two jump balls last week deep in Bengals territory when we had dominated the entire game. Against the Chargers, made two terrible throws.

With that said, no doubt, Brett Favre is a much better QB than Chad Pennington will ever be. The ceiling is way higher with Favre. BUT, to this point i don't think the addition of Brett Favre over Chad Pennington has won us any games.

For what its worth, I dont think its fair to compare Favre and Cpenn. Chad went to a team that already had a system he knew in place with Jimmy Raye as OC, who was on the Jets staff a few years ago. Favre came in here only knowing his system, then forced to rewrite ours. Chad made mistakes here cause he was overwhelmed at times with defenses and a bad Oline, Favre has made mistakes cause he's a RISKTAKER. Interceptions are a PART of his game. Im glad Chad's doing well in Miami, and will continue to do so. But Favre will be here for MAYBE one more year... our QB hunt isnt over.

Chad fans make me laugh. Did you watch Pennington at all during his stint here?? Chad wouldn't have thrown costly throws??!! Really now? Pennington singlehandedly KILLED 4th quarter drives for a living with ill-timed INT's.....saying that Pennington wouldn't have made costly throws is totally assinine.

And for the record...if Penny was still our QB....he would've "game-managed" us to a 1-4 record at this point in the season.

The Lphins won those games in large part because of there outstanding running game. We don't have that.

They match up a lot better with those teams than we do because they can run so well.

The Phins have Ronnie Brown who is better than anybody we have. He doing what Curtis Martin did for years. Plus The Phins have the parcells influence as well which counts for something. We lost to the Pats because Mangini called the game like Chad was his Qb with the prevent offense. The Chargers are way better than us and the dolphins. That one just falls into the s**t happens category. The Jets with Chad would be 1-4. On our team he would actually have to hit a Wr for a Touchdown. Has he managed to find one in the end zone in Miami after five games?

They have better RBs but we still have good RBs, we blow them away everywhere else especially at WR where Chad has HS caliber WRs to throw to. s**t shouldn't have happened to SD after they had a scare at Oakland and saw what Miami did to NE. it's amazing how underappreciated Chad was. If Chad was our QB and had the same game Favre had the board would have been all over him but b/c it's Brett they were actually praising him. I like Brett so let's not get that point missed, I am happy where we are at now and I think we have a higher ceiling BUT that doesn't mean Chad is trash, he was avery good QB for us when he was healthy- unfortunately he had durability issues.

I love that people like FOURTH are now down to "shit happens" and "the WRs aren't catching the TD passes" to knock Chad. And what happened to the reasoning that you can't have a running game with Chad at QB because the other team stacks the line and takes it away? And the reasoning that he can't beat good teams? Miami was 1-15 last year, now they've beaten the Pats and Chargers with Chad at QB.
