This is all internal stuff. Maybe Plank didn't get along with Thurman (who is very good friends with Rex) or he didn't put enough hours in. Who the hell knows. Chuck Smith was looked upon highly by Rex, well at least publicly he was. However, it looks like Smith left on his own accord. By not working for the Jets officially, he can still work with other pro's in the off season. His might have been a business decision as he is a well regarded teacher of D-line techniques. I am really surprised Rex kept Callahan.
What? Callahan was the OL coach (3 pro bowlers) and running game coordinator (#1 in the country). What could he have possibly done better?
Jones was garbage throughout the playoffs. Greene averaged 4.1 before he got hurt. Did you really think our RUNNING GAME and OL was weak this season?
You sure it wasn't that hit by the DB that somehow hurt Greene and he was out for the rest of the game. Callahan is the reason why the running game is #1. Not Schotty - and that's the reporters and press conferences telling me that.
Man can't have any fun here....................You guys really think I want Callahan gone. I picked the most ridiculous coach to fire. This place must really have some knuckleheads for you to believe that............ from me no less. All of you can gfy. lol
Hahahaha, I literally started laughing after your 2nd post on this topic. Anyone who didn't see where this was going needs to have their head examined. Funny stuff....
as soon as I read that I knew you had to be fucking with people. Then TakeMeHomeKerryRhodes bit, and it was all gravey from there
They will not be replaced according to Woody. http://twitter.com/Adam_Schefter "On the five Jets coaches that got eliminated today, owner Woody Johnson thought team had too many coaches. They aren't replacing anyone."
Well, you are a Giants fan so I wouldn't expect you to understand much about the superior team in New York.
Revis told you yesterday: there was a ton of miscommunications yesterday where the same guys in the 2ndary made the SAME mistakes time after time after time. Revis basically indicted the secondary personnel and the coaching staff. Guys did not have the right position and there were too many guys left WIDE open by 2nd and 3rd tier WR's. We are not talking about getting beat by a Randy Moss or an Andre Johnson or a Larry Fitzgerald. We're talking about 3rd WR's getting open by 5 yards and 2nd TE's getting wide open deep. Look at today's exits: virtually all defensive, and mostly secondary/coverage/pass rush related.
