I understand he is probably better than what we have now, but will it be better for the future to give up a draft pick for a player like him? A player who has all the talent it takes and has had numerous opportunities to live up to that talent but still hasn't.. I don't really understand the obsession with improving the RB position when in reality every position on the team needs to be upgraded(at least on O)

Well just because we feel we're not going anywhere doesn't mean the FO isn't going to do everything possible to win games. They figure if they bring in a quality RB, we will win more games. They just want to develop a winning attitude.

Barlow is not a bad option. He was always in a RBBC situation in San Fran behind a hideous OL. Nothing more that a 4th or a player like Strait for him though...

Does anyone else think that maybe, just maybe we will see our RB's and OL step it up a notch this week?

    No more coasting Curtis' coattails...

Im going to have to agree with ecko.

Barlow has been playing behind possibly the worst offensive line in the Nfl.I think a change of scenery can help this guy.

    Houston is not the answer.

Man, there is a serious lovefest here for houston. I would tend to think the coaches can read into the stats a little better then the average fan. I mean if we were picking up suggs, does that not already say that houston is not making any kind of impact?

Can't agree more, and I was a HUGE Houston fanboy until recently. If the CS is looking elsewhere for talent, than Houston isn't cutting it. I haven't given up on this season, so if that's the case, bring in some new blood.

I am suprised anyone would automatically write off a trade. The hallmark of a good GM is to listen to any trade offer as well as being able to explore all trade opportunities.

Find out what we'd be giving up for him before declaring a trade for him a bad idea. Especially considering you would defend Houston for being on a bad team/behind a bad line when this guy without a doubt had it worse.

Does Barlow not come with a hefty contract attached?

Looking back at this post, Nolan looks worse then Herm! What a bad liar this guy is. I would not go as far as to call him one of the worst mass murderers of our time, but he is one slick dude man. It would have been better to say nothing than to totally mindf*@k Barlow.
