Whatever it takes. We are desperate for a QB. He looks accurate, gutsy, poised, mature, he’s processing the field…
What a 4th Q for this kid Chamblis he just raised his draft stock if he comes out. Made himself a lot of money
And to think, this kid was playing D2 ball last year and was the backup QB at Ole Miss earlier this season.
Mendoza looked great, but I still think this is a two QB draft is Moore declares. Moore faced top defense in FSB and was able to move the ball, when he got a chance, very few misses. INT wasn't ideal, but he had to throw it on a 4th down. Mendoza has to be the favorite to go #1 to the Raiders, the key is that Moore declares and we don't go below #3 and maybe even move up to #2.
I can’t help to think that Ole Miss QB is a nfl QB. Stats back it up this year in SEC play. Holy cow did he ball out tonight. Jets in late round 2? let’s see what he does vs Miami, a great d too
You keep waiting for him to have a really bad game but he just keeps making plays and winning. I don't know what more he could do to justify #1 pick.
I’m on the ole miss train too, very exciting and hard not to root for a D2 QB and a team that had their coach abandon them
Although there's no guarantee they'll be able to draft a serviceable if not competent Qb next year, the odds are more in their favor considering the amount of QB's that will be available, and the amount of 1st round picks we have to work with. Mougey most likely will run that draft so there's that to factor in as well.
I wouldn't be surprised if they shock the world and draft Chambliss (assuming he comes out) they are the Raiders after all.
I've had a lot of fun watching Chambliss all season, he's a gamer, and my type of QB. But he's undersized and not a refined passer. He reminds me a bit of Jalen Milroe last year. Milroe was bigger and more experienced and still went in round 3. I think that's around where Chambliss will go but your overall point is a good one. Mendoza to the Raiders is not a lock. The Raiders are always unpredictable
Mendoza might have swung me yesterday, not because they pummeled Bama, that's just not Saban's Alabama. But some of the throws he made really opened my eyes, he was super clutch under pressure. I don't like the way he hangs some of his receivers out to dry sometimes, but it's not like Zach doing it from a clean pocket, it seems like he's always on the run when it happens. But since he's almost guaranteed to be a Raider, it's moot. He's gonna have fun throwing to Bowers.
In regards to Chsmbliss: I like his game a lot. I've been on him all year. But, he's just too short. He's barely 6 ft, if that. He's not going to have those pockets or passing lanes in the NFL.
