    I hope Tyrod starts.

It will be a tough game to win no matter what at least with Tyrod I feel we'll have a puncher's chance.

I feel like some of you still think this team is playoff bound. A loss to Bucs with Fields seems to be better than a win with Tyrod. My dream for the Jets is to be a perennial play off team. If Fields isn't that QB, I better be convinced about it by giving him multiple chances to prove himself. If he fails, at least we will have a decent pick in next year's draft. Let's say Tyrod plays and doesn't get injured. This takes us tom 8-9 wins. What will we gain? Future is still bleak with Tyrod as our starting QB. And we are no where near to the top to pick a QB.

This defense looks like it's not going to be able to stop anybody all year. Baker should be able to shred our awful, awful secondary. I think the Buccaneers win this one comfortably.

Maybe some people didn't give him enough time? Let's face it - there are people here who want to can Glenn after two games.

Bowles had plenty of time here. He just didnt figure out what he was doing wrong while he was here.

Maybe so, but can you rationalize wanting to dump a coach after just two games?

Yes because he should not have been hired in the first place.

Who should have? Or should Saleh still be here?

Who should replace Glenn today if you really believe he should be gone?

Mike Mccarthy for the 1000th time, guaranteed that if Woody hired Mccarthy in the first place over Gase the Jets would of been in a much better situation today. They doubled down in the offseason by not even interviewing Mccarthy and hiring yet another rookie head coach because that has proven success written all over it.

I was looking in McCarthy's direction before Saleh was hired. I now believe his time has come and gone.

But the question was for the guy who wants to make a change after two games - do you?

Im stating Glenn should not have been hired in the offseason.

Out of courtesy to this game thread I will continue in the other thread since you brought it up here.

McCarthy should have been the offseason hire.

My main reason is because he has proved himself as a competent head coach and if we are going to invest 3-4 years in a new coach we need someone who is the lowest risk. Mccarthy is the lowest risk of failure while Glenn is higher due to him being a complete unknown. Is Mccarthy the best coach in the world? of course not but I think he would have gotten this franchise back on track. Its been 15 years since the last playoff berth. This team needed the lowest possible risk coach and that is Mike Mccarthy.

Even Gruden but anyone but another 1st time rookie head coach who was not even a good defensive coordinator.

Yeah, I wanted McCarthy back when JD hired Saleh instead for the same reasons…proven guy, Super Bowl winner, offensive guy. And most emphatically NOT a first time DC hire.

Then we could have gone back to that now but nope, we went the rookie DC guy again.

Because you know, that’s gone so well for us in the past

Some coaches are good and some are bad but I honestly believe that success is far more down to the quality of the players rather than the coaches - put AG in as head coach of the Bills or the Eagles and he would be successful - put the HC of any top tier team into the Jets with the current personnel and it would still be a 5-6 win team as we simply don't have the players - especially at QB which is a huge part of any teams success as everything needs to go through them.

The biggest problem for the Jets in recent times has been much more down to poor drafting (especially at the QB position) and poor signings during free agency - I don't think any coach could've had great success with this team.

I was trying to think - who was the last big money free agent signing by the Jets where you actually thought "I am really glad they signed that player?" For every one you can think of I bet there are 5 going the other way.

You know the real reason why McCarthy wasn't hired? Woody Johnson. He just will not not hire a successful experienced HC. He hired Gase who sucked with miami but that's about it. The Parcells and Belichek rejections struck a nerve and it appears our owner carries a grudge.

Traditionally the team that wins on Monday night football struggles the following Sunday. So who knows

but I have jealousy with TB .

we could’ve had Mayfield here for nothing, I really wanted Kancey in the draft, and of course we did have Bowles
