Im sure there was a good reason Rex want Tajh Boyd. I can’t help that you don’t like the very commonly shared opinion that we should have addressed DL in a DL rich draft and chose not to.
They should of picked Will Johnson in the 2nd round you get a 1st round talent. Put him opposite Sauce and that's Revis Cromartie 2.0 and he has the ball hawking skills you can't teach. Then in the 3rd they should of grabbed Jaylin Noel Iowa State he has all the stats to back being picked there as a steal pick.
The Talking Heads never criticize anyone really?? Why don’t you look at the draft grades on the Internet before making ridiculous statements like that rofl They either approved or disapprove of each of our selections. Plus they have opinions about 31 other team and who they selected lol Why is that such a reach for you?? And who cares what John Gruden says he hasn’t been relevant in 15 years
Happy with the draft overall. Not blown away, but it was solid. There's a clear vision which is to roughly mimic the Lions: Depth at RB Stack the OL Deep threat to keep defenses honest (Jameson Williams/poor man's Williams in Arian Smith) TE to carve up the center of the field (LaPorta/Taylor) Speed and/or physicality on defense
Good point you know I am a little disappointed as they said it’s the most talented running back class ever and we didn’t get one. But maybe the undrafted market for that
Yes it’s gonna be like lions 2.0 well I mean, developed over the next two years lol That’s the plan but I want to see the execution and I wanna see some wins
I’m with you. I’m somewhat uninspired and encouraged at the same time. It wasn’t flashy but we got a fair share of good football players that should move the franchise forward.
I didn’t want an early pick but as deep as this draft is at RB I think you could’ve gotten someone good to beat out one of those 3
I feel there were some missed oppurtunies in this draft. Could of, should of gotten a better wide receiver, a run stuffing DT, and a developmental/back-up QB.
Draft strategy just shows they like who they have in house between Q, Tufele, Nnadi, Taylor. That and they actually change how these guys play in the trenches with a different scheme, I’m willing to see where it goes.
I am glad the jets did not draft a QB or RB; enough depth there. I wish they had drafted a DT instead of a CB, but they thought he was BPA.
Bitch about whatever, but I think I’ll listen to the former CB, turned former scout, turned former DC, now our current HC to know a thing or two about CB prospects.
Im numb to it all. I liked the positions we drafted for but after the years of constant suck, and the last 2 years especially, I'm totally numb to the moves the Jets make and will see how the year breaks down. It's basically been over by November 1st for a decade. 14 out of the last 15 years probably. Hopefully we get to care longer this year.
I liked your post because not getting a defensive tackle. Was just a head scratcher But signals to me that there’s gonna be an entirely different defensive scheme on board this year If it’s that creative then we’ll look back at the draft and say look, we worried we didn’t get a defensive tackle but they didn’t get a chance to run on us because our linebackers blew up the play, etc.,
