Brandyn Pokrass @BPok24 · Follow Taylor-Taylor. Tyrod hits Malik on a deeep pass down the field. Torched his man and Tyrod hit him in stride. Taylor had to fight off an underneath defender. 11:51 AM · Jul 30, 2024 *** Malik's not going to make it easy on the Jets to cut him. He's looking good in TC.
Robby Sabo @RobbySabo Little by little, more Malachi Corley-specific concepts are surfacing. Not crazy specific to Corley, but it’s enough to notice him getting in the mix on certain ideas. The new QB, Adrian Martinez, is getting a look. Underthrows one, also late, to Irv, deep. Back to Rodgers, as he hits Lazard with room around him, middle of field with RAC opp (Adams there eventually). Later, the first bad snap of the day by Tippmann (high). Play still commenced, but the crowd obviously noticed. 11:22 AM · Jul 30, 2024
Nick Faria @Nick_Faria1720 · Follow Wheel route to Breece Hall goes for a big gain. Nice play design there. #Jets 12:00 PM · Jul 30, 2024 *** This can't be! Someone forgot to tell Faria that Hackett sux and that we're not supposed to compliment anything he does.
Brandyn Pokrass · Jul 30, 2024 @BPok24 · Follow Next Rodgers series starts with another Breece Hall run. Shifty and explosive getting downhill after a lane opens up. Rodgers then hits Hall in the flat, who rips off a long gain down the sideline. The star RB is being a star RB. Brandyn Pokrass @BPok24 Rodgers finds Garrett on a a screen the next play. Great job by Sherwood getting an angle and making the tackle. Quinnen Williams then blows by Tippmann for a sack. Great pass rush move. That is followed by WMD beating Smith. Likely a sack, but Rodgers dumped it to Breece for a short gain 12:03 PM · Jul 30, 2024
@NYJets_Media · Follow Ok 1st down Pass Rush gets to Rodgers as he rolls to his left and throws it out of bounds Jermaine Johnson was relentless on that rep #Jets 12:12 PM · Jul 30, 2024
Brandyn Pokrass · Jul 30, 2024 @BPok24 · Follow Next series for Rodgers is two minute drill. It starts with a misfire to Wilson. Had him open across the middle after he beat Reed, but the throw was a hair behind Wilson. Rodgers makes up for it on the next play, stepping up against pressure to hit Wilson for a big gain. #Jets Brandyn Pokrass @BPok24 · Follow After the deep completion, Rodgers throws it away after a scramble. Nice pressure and coverage from the defense. Rodgers follows that by drawing Sauce offsides. He then hits Lazard across the middle, who takes a SHOT from Clark. He is shaken up after the play. 12:14 PM · Jul 30, 2024
Nick Faria @Nick_Faria1720 · Follow Robert Saleh says Morgan Moses should be in team drills in the next couple of days. Says Aaron Rodgers will NOT play in first two preseason games. TBD on the final game. #Jets 12:36 PM · Jul 30, 2024
Faria Practice is over. Some takeaways: - Offense was better than yesterday but still wasn’t very good. Sloppy overall looks from everyone. - The sloppy play includes Aaron Rodgers too. He had a bad toss to Breece Hall and was late on many throws. - Good day of practice for the likes of JBC, Allen Lazard, and Chazz Surratt - OL looks like a continued work in progress but I think they are further ahead than last year
LOL It wouldn't necessarily mean that we wasted a lot of cap space. Reed would hold down the fort until Stiggers was ready. Stiggers may not be ready to start week 1. Heck, he may need to to be a backup this whole season, but the kid has some real talent and instincts, and unless somethiing awful happens, I think he will be our #2 CB next season. I think he'd really have go nuts in the rest of TC and preseason, and even then it probably wouldn't be enough for him to be elevated over Reed. I was only being half-serious when I said that he may replace Reed by mid-season.
I dont believe most here think he is the next Deebo, but many do believe that his style in many ways is similar to Deebo. The notion that he should have similar numbers to Deebo in his rookie year is simply silly. Four hundred yards could be huge if many of them result on first down.
Ok but every single time he's mentioned Deebo Samuel is brought up. We shouldn't expect him to bring us even half of what Samuel did? So why is Samuel even brought up? A WR that doesn't know many routes but has about 400 yards mostly with YAC is Mecole Hardman not Deebo Samuel
No idea why we keep making that comparison. I’m certainly not savvy football wise to make such bold proclamations. . I think often we tend to make big leaps of faith based on some early observations from the media reports. My hope is he performs well enough to lock WR 3 this year and eventually number 2. I would love for him to become the next Coles or Chrebet
