They came in on a 5 game losing streak and still looked completely unprepared to play us. The first half didn't even look like a pro team. Penalties, drops. poor tackling everywhere. Easily let us block a punt. And they stuck with Howell. Figure this. The week before Howell was terrible and the the Commanders were losing 28-7 after 3 quarters. They put in Brissett and he leads them on two 4th quarter TD drives and gives them a chance at the end, only to come up short. Sound familiar?
They put Brissett in just to show they are trying, but realizing Jets have a good defense, so the game was all but over, simply not enough time to come back. Yet our coaching is so incompetent, Brissett actually surprised even themselves and came back to take the lead. Then they just made sure they took the ball out of his hands and just had 3 straight runs and have defense back off, even though Simien never completed a 10 yard pass and let us move down for a FG. Basically, Brissett unexpectedly nearly fucked the tank job, but they adjusted at the end and got the job done.
Believe he’s on IR now due to injury. Gipson has been better then him anyways so seems like they made the right call there.
