I always thought one of the worst ironies in sports is Herm is known for, "You play to win the game!" When he did anything but that. The worst and most brutal example being the 2004 playoff game against the Steelers, when Herm was trying to win the game playing for long field goals.
I’m pretty content with how the Jets played on balance. Down 17-0 and doing nothing on either side of the ball and they crawled back into it.
It was so obvious in front of the ref it's suspicious. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but jeez how do they miss that. Fortunately didn't matter!
I cant dream big enough to win this game, I just want us to keep it competitive so I dont have to hang my head all week. A close game is a win for me. Then we can get a real win next week.
The "WIlson's playing great" crew need to watch the 1st half film. If he makes the open throws the Jets are up going into the half. A third down mis-throw (and miss read) early in the game, as well as 3 open receivers for TDs he missed (Lazard, Conklin, Wilson). T he Carter drop is not on Zach tho. That's just a RB trying to run before he catches the ball. Defense showed up after giving up 3 easy drives and really looked solid and aggressive getting takeways. Hats off to Mosely and the secondary.
You post like you do. Your posts were you want them to lose by a lot so we can get rid of Zack, shit pass when he had a defender coming at him up the middle and SOJ kick…you’re a bundle of joy. and spare me the nonsense of 40 years. I’ve been a season ticket holder since 1982. I’m in the same boat, watching the same crap week in and week out. If anything, you’d should appreciate that you’re actually seeing a young kid show signs of improvement and responding to coaching, something we generally haven’t seen in many many years.
I watched the Washington game earlier today. They have a non-entity named Howell playing QB for them. A 5th round pick, and he is superior to Wilson in all facets of the game, from decision making to technique to arm strength. I would take him over Wilson in a minute. After three years of this shit show, I’m not gonna fall all over myself because he had a slightly better than average half of football. Let’s keep perspective ok?
Agreed. Zach has missed some throws but this is the best he’s played all year. He’s confident and letting it rip.
Gotta give some credit for a solid first half but yes, he does need to put it together the entire game. Let’s see if he comes out in the second half as well.
