I actually like Maybin. I don't think he is as good as Ken Singleton or Paul O'Neill, but as you said he's fucking light-years better than the cheating sack of shit Beltran. It's a shame we can't tune to another broadcast when he is on to show YES our dissatisfaction.
Maybin to me is worse because you can at least partly excuse Beltran's horrible performance on account of him not being a native English speaker. Which begs the question, what's a color guy there to do in the first place? My wife got some kind of deal on the MLB package through prime or some shit and I have the option of the home and away broadcasts. I'm pretty much at the point of tuning in the other team's broadcast when Beltran and Maybin are on YES. Sterling and Waldman are at least amusing in that sort of demented uncle in the corner kind of way. Beltran and Maybin offer nothing even remotely interesting or insightful. And they are painful homers.
Well it wasn't very impressive but we swept the worst team in baseball. You can only play who on the schedule. I'd love to take the next game against the Astros. They are a really good team and the Yankees were fortunate to split with them at home. At least we don't have to face Verlander as he blanked the Mets today.
He was seen having beach balls thrown to him in batting practice. He had a .150 contact rate. He's locking in. Softballs are next.
Even Kay and Maybin were almost kind of ragging on him last night. I think he’s a dead man walking. Andujar at least will hit .200 and wont strike out three times a game.
I do like Maybin. I watched the last few games and he gives some good insight even if I'm not a fan of southern accents. Beltran is pretty boring, I was listening to him while doing some house work last weekend and definitely was a low energy broadcast.. Yankees also were getting no hit for the 2nd game.

He doesn’t sound like he’s trying to figure out what he wants to say mid sentence like Beltran. Or use generic cliches. Natural English speaking or not, Beltran isn’t too far away from Jason Witten. Maybin sounds very natural on the mic. Andujar not being on the major league roster is a disgrace though. I agree with you on that.
