Yankees are really fucking up the Judge situation. Is it really worth trying to save 2 million in arbitration?

It appears the Yankees are under the impression they will have the chance to match any offer he gets in FA. Why would he do that service to them at this point?

I am starting to see him not wanting to come back soon. At least we have Hicks.

I think that's a pretty accurate take. I think if Hicks starts consistently playing a little closer to his career norms and Stanton doesn't have one of his bad streaks at the wrong time the offense should make up for the pitching regressing a bit. That might be happening now, actually. Some arms on the DL are coming back too.

I'm DFA'g Gallo at the first opportunity. There has to be an outfielder in Triple A that won't strike out three times a game.

Agree about Boone but this team might just be idiot proof.

19 mill, avoids arbitration. Great outcome for the Yanks.

Not that he's going to have trouble feeding his family or anything, but to me thats a $2mm gift from Judge to the Yanks.

Hopefully it buys the Yankees some good faith with him. It was definitely the right thing to do.

I expected the Yankees to lose last night even though they made it a game. Verlander is one of the game's best. What I didn't expect is for them to be no hit today with Cole on the mound. That's embarrassing. No worries though. Boone will rally the troops

The only good thing is that the three previous years that the Yankees have been no hit (52, 58 and 2003), they went on to win the World Series. And if I remember correctly, the Astros were the last in 2003 which was also a combined no hitter. I remember watching that game.

It’s so unbelievably wild watching him at the plate sometimes too. He’ll watch two 94mph fast balls go by right down the middle and then swing at a slider in the dirt.

We didn't win in 2003. I believe we lost to the Marlins that year.

What an incredible win. I honestly thought we were going get no hit again. And then we break through for 3 runs. How they escaped the top of the 10th is beyond me. Then Judge just does what he does.

We could have easily been swept. Take the split and go play the A's.

Hanging a breaking ball to Judge. What could go wrong?

That little fucker, Altuve, crucified us this series. You can tell he gets off on it. We should have someone drill him and take the suspension.

Cameron Maybin is light years ahead of Beltran as an announcer.

    "Well Michael Kay, I believe
Joey Gallo is going to want
to get a hit here in this situation.."
