They just go through nights where they're collectively hopeless at the plate and there's no changing it. You can tell it right from the first batter in the first inning if they're going to have life or it's going to be GIDP/strikeout on a horrible slider night.
It's about time the Torres at short experiment ended. I would bet all my vcash he's gone this off-season. Judge has played himself into an extension. He's the heart of this team. He's a giant and he plays a good center field because he has to, to go with his offense heroics.
You have a better chance getting the old Gleyber back than you do getting a return in a trade. He needs to rework his swing IMO. He's late on everything because his plant foot is super slow. But he's still ultra talented. Maybe a move back to second will help. I don't see him as a bad 8/9 hitter at second with hopefully a good glove at his natural position.
Most catchers probably don't catch that wild pitch that tied the game, but have a chance. But Sanchez and his little league catching stance, it's physically impossible and zero chance. It's painful to watch.
What's he worth now? The dude doesn't even know how many outs there are in the field. Get the kid some Adderall.
Does it matter what he's worth? Just his existence on the Yankees is a bad fit net negative. Cut your losses and move on.... But that means Cashman needs to accept some mistakes. Sanchez Torres Center Field
I'm not watching but the Yankees haven't scored a single run. What was the score when the error happened? And better yet, why is Heaney pitching??
1-0, but it ruined Gil and the Indians sent 10 guys to the plate after the error... The whole team was effected by it. Heaney was pitching because the Yankees waved the white flag, he gave up another home run.
I've admittedly done more score board watching than game watching this year and completely lose touch with baseball (unfortunately) when college football kicks off. But this is atrocious.
