Too many people keep giving LaFleur a pass, or even that he's been good. The Jets now have talent, & Zach... where's any gameplan? He starts every game in slow-motion, with slow-developing plays. He's wasting Moore. Once in a while, there's a nice playcall, but in general, LaFleur seems clueless how to use his talent. Lastly, I want to see a no-huddle, to get the team into a rhythm & into attack mode. And no, I don't put this so much on Zach. He's still a rookie, & LaFleur has no clue how to call plays using Zach's play-action talent (isn't running the ball enough), etc.
Probably until you start to show yourself when he does well. You only seen to chime in when he struggles then vanish until it happens again
Right now, that's a mistake the coaches are making. They have a good running game and he could be a good game manager, but MLF is absolutely insistent on remaining pass heavy even when the running game works. That puts way too much pressure on Wilson.
If ZW and the offense are this ineffective by the 4th Qtr, I haven't any issue with him getting the bench for the 4th. It seemed to be a far more common thing in the NFL about 20 years ago, and no one's feelings were hurt. It was understood the starting QB didn't have it that day, the back-up came in and either did or did not get the job done, and the starter started the following week. Somewhere along the line QB being benched for ineffective play has somehow become an unbearable insult.
I just turned the game on and checked Zach's stats, can someone tell me if he's been trash, or something else is going on? Can't believe the defense has held the Packers to 3 though, probs for that.
I saw some asshole this past week posting something that said the Jets don’t get enough sacks. What a moron!
