Zach is 1-2 when the running game has less than 100 yards in a game. 4-0 when the running game has over 135 yards. Running game won those games.
I hated kicking the FG on the 4th and 1. Had to score the TD on that drive to have a realistic shot. Buffalo was gonna defend the end zone, a short 1 yard pass would have been a gimme. Also, hated not taking a shot with an onside kick attempt. That was magnified by not kicking it out of the end zone and letting them run precious seconds off the clock on a return. Other thoughts, the stupid penalty at the end of the last half and the fumbles did us in. Cant go 0-2 in the TO game and hope to beat Buffalo, especially in their house. Williams coming out of the game was huge. He had two sacks, I dont think we had another one after he left. On the positive side, Wilson and Bam played really well. I also thought Mike White showed a lot. He hung in there with a lot of pain. he spread the ball around as Elijah, Mims, and Conklin each also had quite a few grabs. I think Mike has a real chance to be the guy, but the next few games will be key to his future. The big knock is the total lack of mobility. Some guys cant run, but are nimble in the pocket. I am not seeing that from Mike.
Can not make mistakes and expect to win. These games come down to execution and like last week, we made how many 1st down holdinf penalities, fumbles, and Mosley really dude, I mean.
