Man, I'm optimistic but I didn't see this schedule coming at all. I guess trail by fire is the motivation, but no way this team wins more the 5 games.
Losing breeds more losing. Just as winning even against bad teams makes a bad team better as it raises confidence. This is a really crappy schedule that can kill the confidence of a young team. It feels like the NFL does all it can to make it hard for us.
I honestly don’t know if we will win more than two games in the first two months of the season. This is absolutely brutal and of course it’s in a year where everyone is going to demand results.
This is a fair and honest assessment. If Saleh is the coach we are hoping he's gonna be then he'll have to get this team motivated and ready. I'm not giving him a pass this year regardless.
People are going to be calling for his head before Halloween. Unfortunate that the schedule shook out this way because there's obviously tons of talent but it's going to take some time to gel. We have 0 grace period for gelling until it's too late.
Beat New England and Miami. Find a way to win 1 or 2 games between Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland (No Watson), and Pittsburgh. They do that and they have a pulse going into the bye week and the 2nd half of the schedule.
That might depend on how team will play in those games. If we are surrendering 35+ points and scoring only 10 points or so each game then yeah. People will call his head but if Jets are competitive and win 2-3 games and look very competitive in losses I think Saleh will survive. But tough start to the season. What a schedule. Phew. On a personal note I hate that Packers and Steelers games are 2 weeks apart. I will have to chose one and I probably will do Packers game.
Jesus I only dislike having the browns on the schedule because I think Myles Garrett is a dirty player who will at times try to intentionally injure quarterbacks. I think 7-9 wins is a fair expectation
This is absolutely brutal. Where are the wins coming from? Jets 2022 NFL schedule Week 1: Sept. 11 vs. Ravens, 1 p.m., CBS Week 2: Sept. 18 at Browns, 1 p.m., CBS Week 3: Sept. 25 vs. Bengals, 1 p.m., CBS Week 4: Oct. 2 at Steelers, 1 p.m., CBS Week 5: Oct. 9 vs. Dolphins, 1 p.m., CBS Week 6: Oct. 16 at Packers, 1 p.m., FOX Week 7: Oct. 23 at Broncos, 4:05 p.m., CBS Week 8: Oct. 30 vs. Patriots, 1 p.m., CBS Week 9: Nov. 6 vs. Bills, 1 p.m., CBS Week 10: Bye Week 11: Nov. 20 at Patriots, 1 p.m., CBS Week 12: Nov. 27 vs. Bears, 1 p.m., FOX Week 13: Dec. 4 at Vikings, 1 p.m., CBS Week 14: Dec. 11 at Bills, 1 p.m., CBS Week 15: Dec. 18 vs. Lions, 1 p.m., FOX Week 16: Dec. 22 vs. Jaguars, 8:15 p.m., Prime Video Week 17: Jan. 1 at Seahawks, 4:05 p.m., FOX Week 18: Jan. 7/8 at Dolphins, TBD, TBD 0-4? 0-9? Just brutal.
Yikes. 4 straight against the AFC North. Weird. Hopefully the schedule doesn't end up being as bad as it looks. As others have said, will need patience this year in particular. IMO it's not a make or break season for JD, Saleh or ZW
we are choosing between Green Bay and Denver. Green Bay would be expensive as hell but it’s something you need to experience once in your life. Denver would be cheaper and also a fun city but probably an easy loss. might just do Cleveland week 2
Flights to Chicago are cheap most of the times. Rent a car and drive up and cost should be similar to Packers. If you are talking in terms of game ticket, that I don't know. Never been to Denver or GB Make it GB and let's set up a TGG travel group.
Week 1: lose Week 2: win Week 3: lose (shootout) Week 4: win Week 5: lose Week 6: lose Week 7: lose Week 8: win Week 9: lose Week 10: bye Week 11: lose Week 12: win Week 13: win Week 14: lose Week 15: win Week 16: win Week 17: win Week 18: lose I see 8-9 and missing the playoffs. I just don’t agree they get swept by the Pats again, they lost too many players and didn’t exactly improve any positions (outside of wide receiver but that’s a health question every week)
This is absolutely brutal. I was hoping for a bunch of reasonably winnable games early so they can build some chemistry, start clicking, and maybe gain momentum against the tougher teams as the year went on. This looks like 6-11 to me.

This is the most optimistic record I can come up with. It could easily be worse by 3-4 games lost, but for now I'll wear my green goggles and hope for the best. Of course it's heavily dependent on Zach stepping up and everyone staying healthy and the talent coming together, all big "IF's". But there will plenty of time for gnashing of teeth and being disappointed, so why start now?
I really hope they suspend him for at least 2 games! Not holding my breath though: if the guy is not even charged by prosecutors, doubt NFL suspends him. Hoping they can squeeze two game suspension out if it somehow.
