Another point that they didn't deserve - better than not getting it, but this team is so much worse than its record suggests.

This is not a good team.

Bad, boring team. The worst part is nothing will change until Lou is gone. I doubt Lou retires. He could have done so many years ago but wants to keep working. L&M need to fire him, but I doubt they will.

At this point I just want the fire-happy Lou who had no qualms getting rid of a coach. The lack of discipline, and inability to hold leads is a direct reflection on Lambert and he has to go. I’m sure he’s a great guy and his children love him, but if he’s a good coach then this simply isn’t the roster for him.

Oh, joy they play at Boston tonight. Why bother. Sorokin will probably stand on his head, and they will still lose 6-1. I am not so sure they get the 1.

Oh ye of little faith - they got two, and only gave up five. Hey, at least they didn't blow a lead in this game!

This season will be over by Christmas, and maybe a lot earlier than that.

Every loss brings the team closer to change, especially with the Rangers piling up wins.

if the inevitable coaching change doesn’t turn it around you unload $14 million in cap with Pelech and Pulock; no need to pay that much for defense when you’re getting this type of results.

Lambert is a problem, but he isn't THE PROBLEM. Lou has to go. The game has passed him by. He was a great GM at one point but not in today's game. Nothing changes until Lou is gone and a new GM is brought in.

Hey, progress - they didn't collapse in the third period this time!

And Ovechkin ties Gretzky for the most empty net goals in NHL history!

There’s no reason for Lambert to have a job tomorrow if the organization believes in the roster. If they believe in Lambert there’s no reason not to start dumping salaries.

And Ovechkin gets 2 against the Isles after only having 3 on the season coming into tonight. No better example of this team’s ineptitude.

Did I hear "Fire Lambert" chants at the end of 3rd period?

He had only 2 goals before this one. He matched his entire season goal output in this one...

I hope so. He may not have been popular in Calgary but Darryl Sutter seems like a no-brainer if the organization still thinks this team’s success starts with defense.

The "Fire Lambert" chants were very real and very loud. To my mind, the bigger issue is that after the game Cizikas lashed out at the fans for daring to do it: "It's a joke. That kind of stuff ticks me off. It really does. I've got no time for those fans. I've got no time for them. If they want to be like that, they can stay home."

Hey, Casey - go fuck yourself. Without the fans nobody would give a rat's ass about you. If you care so much about the coach, why don't you shut your mouth and play better.

The bright side for Cizikas is he likely won’t have to worry about hearing those chants for that much longer.

Claude Julien is also available. Either one would be much better than Lame Lambert. But the problem is Lou. LOU MUST GO!!!

Lou is the main problem, he did nothing to improve this team and if he thinks this roster is a playoff roster he needs to be fired right away. I don't care who the coach no one is winning consistently with this roster.

Barzal has to be one of the most overrated players in the league. He's a turnover machine.

Unfortunately Lou was likely asleep and missed the game.
