It couldn't happen to a more deserving guy. Sure, Rodgers is an all-time great, but he's also a first-ballot shoo-in for the Asshole Hall of Fame. He's such a smug, arrogant guy, and he seems to revel in his assholery.
He should be gone after that terrible decision to not squib kick. You have a limited window to win and when you are on the cusp you can't fuck up like that. A Squib kick wastes 5-6 seconds at least from the 13 that were left. A high pooch kick might be fair caught to save clock but it would be fair caught at the 10 yard line, 15 yards from where the Chiefs started. Either scenario is a likely win for the Bills
Not sure if you heard the postgame presser, but McDermott was specifically asked about the kickoff and he just responded that we didn't execute properly. I point that directly to Bass not doing what he was supposed to do.

Buffalo choked like they always do, things were lined up perfectly for them. They woulda beaten the Bengals easily at home and I think they had a good matchup in the SB against Niners/Rams

Maybe not this year, but next year 100% if they don't make it the SB or AFCCG again. McDermott should definitely be feeling some heat under his seat. Allens cap numbers are through the roof starting in 2023. They are basically win next year or the window is pretty much closed to have a competent team around Allen. Think about the QBs who have won after they received their big deal. They don't exist.
The Bills need to invest in their running game. They only rank as high as they do in total rushing yards because Allen adds 45 yards per game. They should make a play for a big time guard and either sign or draft a bell cow. Singletary looked solid at the end of the year but he does not put together good years as a whole running the ball. I’d imagine their backs rank incredibly low. My friend whose a Bills fan also tells me that their linebackers are weak and Edmunds overruns tons of plays.
Fire McDermott? Holy crap really? Bills are one of the top teams in AFC and unfortunately yeah they made some mistakes but they also made some brilliant plays and had a great season. All because McDermott has them playing good football. Unfortunately few plays hurt them. I tip my hat to Josh and the Buffalo Bills.
Why not? If the defender touches the ball it automatically runs the clock. They can’t instantly down it. There is no chance they get 2 plays + a FG if they squib it.
They had super bowl aspirations this year and lost in the divisional round. If they don’t make it again next year why would you want to keep him? To keep falling short? Look above at Allen’s cap hit once 2023 starts. It’s next year or bust for them.
