Not me. We don't just need a lot of bodies, we need talent at the skill positions and on the OL. Talent goes early. Trading down in the 2nd means potentially passing on a very good WR, TE or OG and for what, a couple of pretty good players?

Nothing can be off the table when it comes to the draft. If a team offers a 3rd to move up around 10 spots to take a QB I’m ok with that as we will have a QB and another top 100 pick. HOWEVER, having said that if a stud falls into out lap then just take him and take another one at 33

To be fair, those guys were taken by the Steelers who are the single best team in the NFL at drafting WR's. We can't expect the Jets scouts to find guys like them in later rounds.

Okay, maybe "hope" for Douglas' acumen (and hope with some reason, as he showed some acumen in his fantastic play for Mims) is a better word than "expect." Still, let's not pretend that the Steelers have proven to be the only ones to find very good starting receivers after the first round. Just in the last 5 years:

2016: NY Giants (Sterling Shepherd at 40), New Orleans (Michael Thomas at 47)

2017: LA Rams (Cooper Kupp at 69), Tampa Bay Bucs (Chris Godwin at 84), Detroit Lions (Kenny Golliday at 96)

2018: Denver Broncos (Courtland Sutton 40), Jacksonville Jaguars (DJ Chark 61), Dallas Cowboys (Michael Gallup at 81)

2019: Tennessee Titans (AJ Brown at 51), Seattle Seahawks (DK Metcalf at 64), Washington Team (Terry McLaurin at 76)

2020: Cincinnati Bengals (Tee Higgins at 33), Indianapolis Colts (Michael Pittman at 34), Jacksonville Jaguars [again] (Laviska Shenault at 42)

Let's get out of the loser mentality and have hopes, and, yes, expectations for our general manager, particularly since there is some reason to believe that Douglas might be a general manage able to live up to some decent expectations (for once in our miserable Jets' history!).

Or are they the single best team at developing WR draft picks as they have a good coach, QB and OL that gives them the chance to live up to their potential.

Pittsburgh may be #1, but the Packers are breathing down their necks if they're not #1 themselves.

We have so much ammo in the draft and even more holes on the team so we are going to need to hit on at least 5 starters out of this draft. I also believe we need to draft by BPA.. Just shoot for the moon with the best player within reason.

    1. Lawrence

    1b. WR/RB/G/C/TE/Edge/CB

    2. WR/RB/G/C/TE/Edge/CB

    3a. WR/RB/G/C/TE/Edge/CB/DT

    3b. WR/RB/G/C/TE/Edge/CB/DT

We need 5 starters bottom line.
