Yea I'll be upset if we miss out on Trevor too because even though I loved Sam coming out, Trevor is just amazing and his arm is absolutely beautiful. Sam reminds me of a Chad Pennington or Alex Smith type of QB and Trevor is looking like the next Mahomes/Rodgers type elite arm.
I have been updating this list as often as I can: I believe this is 1/3 "winnable" games we have left and an important one to lose to make sure we secure a real QB and HC for next year. 2 Phins games and Chargers are the 3 pot holes that could stop that. Some would argue the Raiders and Browns, but I don't see us keeping up with that Browns offense and the Raiders are very good this year. So dare I say, Phins up this week! 0-16 is needed because we lose tie breakers with literally every team this year with SOS.
Atlanta still has Ryan & Jones, the Giants have come close to winning a couple of games already. I don't see either team coming close to 0-16. The Jets are 'safe'. I think they're in a class of their own this season.
Oh goodie this week I get to watch my ex-QB the franchise's all-time single season TD record holder, another player this organization didn't think was good enough to hold on to, tear my team a new one.
Well in this case the Jets were right. Do you remember week 17 @ Buffalo with the playoffs on the line when Fitz tossed Int after Int? Do you remember the following season when he looked like absolute dog crap? 16 years for Fitzpatrick in the NFL? 0-0 playoff record? 16 years? 8 different teams? 0 playoff games? Look. I'm pissed at the Jets for a lot of things but Shitztragic is not one of them. NYJ had every right to get rid of this career loser of a QB and rightfully so. Plz let's not put Fitz in the Jamal Adams or Robby Anderson category. Fitz HAD TO GO.
How were the Jets right? It's 2020 and he's still going strong. To me it looks like he's getting better with age. The man plays his position and the game the way it's meant to be played fearless and with passion. His love for the game can be easily seen. A former seventh round pick he's a career overachiever. And last but not least he's fun to watch. Sam Darnold could have learned so much from him. 2015 despite the cr@p ending was one of the most FUN seasons I've ever experienced as a Jets fan. He came here and most unexpectedly gave the Jets a season for the record book so in typical Jets dysfunction what do they do the following year? They play hardball with him in negotiations, they brought in Forte which ruined the chemistry the offense had with Powell in 2015 and the rest is history. Just like that Fitzpatrick & Gailey were gone. This had to be this way stuff I hear/see so much around here I don't buy it. The Jets don't work out problems with people they should try to work things out with. They don't build relationships with people. That's how it looks to me from afar. First sign of trouble the Jets bail. They don't work towards a solution that works for both parties here it's always it has to be this way. No it doesn't. It's another symptom of the Jets dysfunction it starts at the top and it's not something that will go away with 0-16, #1 overall pick and Trevor Lawrence.
You mean you COULDN’T give 2 craps. It is so hard for us Jets fans to actually want to win any games this season now, given the situation we are in.
I think Jets and Flacco make a decent game offensively. I think the Jets keep it close for most of the game. Defense continues to give big plays. Miami 27 Jets 23
I heard Gase isn't calling the plays this week. AND, I heard Gase IS calling the play this week.. Whew, thought we had a remote chance at a win.
Pathetic good news for us: Falcons up 17-0, Giants up 13-10, Bengals up 24-7, Denver up 12-3. bad news: Jax, Eagles, Houston down
All good. Eagles have 1 win and 1 tie. They have 2 games over us. Jax and Texans will play each other twice. They each have 1 win anyway. Focus on Giants and Bengals winning.
