Darnold looks the best he has so far. Of course it's very early, but still, he seems more decisive. Of course that's offset by Gase's playcalling.
The reason why our first drives are great is because Gase and Darnold can do well when everything is aboslutely is laid out perfect--the first drive is all scripted. They need every single player healthy, a poor to average defense to play, perfect weather to put out a good product.

I though the same thing, did this team not have incredible success pounding the rock and wearing down the defense? I get it, they don’t trust the young backs to pick up blitzes but they have to find a way around that, additional TE or bring WR closer to the line. There has to be a way to get those young guys more touches.
