We were never going to trade for him, especially now. Joe D handled it correctly.

this years 5 next years 3. Once we drafted Becton there was no shot. Fant isn’t riding the pine with a $7 mil cap hit.

Trade for Trent not as expensive as I thought it might me. Once teams opted for the draft for top tackles, the shine was off the Trent option. Anyone know what the 49ers are paying him? I heard his current contract. Don't know what that is.

The Raiders love some Clemson football players. Simpson is now the 5th or 6th former Clemson player on their roster.

Wow, Brook, I'm honored. At WR I like Antonio Gandy-Golden or Collin Johnson. For interior OL, I'd say Tyler Biadasz or Netane Muti. At RB, Anthony Mc Farland is a HR threat. He's probably not starting quality, but good for RB by committee. Joshua Kelley or Eno Benjamin could be better choices at RB. You didn't ask for it, but at CB, I like Kindle Vildor.

Wih the 12th overall pick of the 1965 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Cardinals select Quarterback Joe Namath of Alabama.

With the 1st overall pick of the 1965 AFL Draft, the New York Jets select Quarterback Joe Namath of Alabama.

Speaking of drafts, Namath got a 4-F draft deferment during the Vietnam War. The shredded knee he suffered during his senior year in college kept him out of Vietnam. No, he didn't dodge the draft, the military wouldn't take him.

Thanks NC. I really don't want any defense on 4th round today. Thanks. I will watch for those names. Joshua Kelley just gone.

The Dolphins just got a good OG in Solomon Kindley. He may not have been a good fit for us, but is a very good player.

A new thing I learned about the draft.

Draft order among teams with identical records is determined by strength of schedule. Jets had the easiest sch so that made the Jets the worst team with a 7-9 record, so we drafted first in the first round.

But the order is reversed for the 2nd round amongst teams with a 7-9 record, then back to the original order for the 3rd round and so on.

    That's all.
