He sucks. Another bust. Just like our busts Buttfumble, Geno _______ busts from every other team around the league.
Mac really was lousy---couldn't land one passrusher in free agency, but packers walk away with preston smith and zadarious! So glad we canned that dude.
Come on man we got Leo for a cool $14.2 mil coming off his cr@ptastic 2018 season. Put a smile on that face. Edit: Seahawks took a flier on Ziggy Ansah too.
Trubisky looked like a guy with 13 college starts and not much else under his belt in this one Just a lot of flat out missed throws. Arm strength merely average. Had 1 bad pick and at least 3 bad should be picks. If he ends up with a long and successful career it will have to be as a caretaker/system QB He's not the worst I've seen but this is not a QB you run up to draft That 66% completion percentage does not automatically = accurate passer. And fwiw (and I know, smaller sample size) Chase Daniel threw 76 passes for the Bears last season and had a 69.7% completion percentage
Imagine being down 4 the entire game and in the 4th quarter you run 24 plays.. all PASSES. Not sure what Nagy was doing. Also...4th and 10 from the 33 and he goes for it while only down 1 score? This guy coached like complete shit last night.
I might've gone a bit too far last night when I said Trubisky sucks. He doesn't look like a special player to me. He looks like just another guy. I'll leave it at that.
Yes,,in hindsight I am so glad we side stepped Trubitsky ,who can only go so far, and got SD a real FQB In other week 1 news , I hear Julio Jones won't sign his deal unless he gets a free ladder, step stool and a couple of drill bits from the Home Depot
The Bears and Packers both sat most their starters in the preseason. That game was horrendous. The players say sitting in the preseason has nothing to do with it. BULL
Jesus that was painful. Wake me up in November when NFL offenses have had a chance to practice together against NFL defenses for a few weeks. That was like starting a 20 year old car on a 20 below zero morning.
NFL steps on its dick yet again. Scintillating start to the 100th season. . If it wasn’t for stupid fantasy football, the league would find itself in big trouble with the product they currently put on the field. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I thought the early part of the NFL season last year was awful. Both offenses looked horrendous. No doubt the co-ordination needed to run a competent O was missing by both teams. The defenses were reacting and way ahead of both O's. The OL were out of sink, guys were dropping passes it just looked like a hot mess. Trubisky looked like he had never seen an NFL defense before and was still working on his throwing mechanics. There's no doubt the CBA rules coupled with coaches over protecting their assets have led to really crappy early season football.
I remember when the Rams played the Chiefs last year, and the score was ridiculously high, people were complaining that the NFL is a joke and real football is something like 10-3. Now we get 10-3 and people are complaining about that too. Maybe they'd be happier if 10-3 happened because every play was a run, but then other (or maybe even the same) people would complain that runs are boring. I think people just like to complain.
yes HTOJ but not all 10-3 games are the same. I appreciate a good defensive battle. Last night's game wasn't that. It was 10-3 because both teams offenses were truly out of sync and inept. The Bears had 4 straight plays called back for penalties and they were obvious penalties. 3rd down and 40 is not good football
Agree with your assessment. I would say that Trubisky could easily see a Mariota type of regression if the Bears aren't careful. This is one of the reasons I'm not a fan of QB's that need a ton of bells and whistles in the offense to score points. There's definitely a group of them in this league (Trubisky, Mariota, Lamar Jackson, Alex Smith) Well see if Murray will fall into that. Give me a guy who isn't as special athletically but can win ball games when he's forced to throw. I think Sam has that ability with continued work on his accuracy and he also has some athleticism.
It was obvious that both teams offenses were inept and out of sync. Great Defense in a game that every yard of field position matters and guys are catching contested passes and fighting for every inch is great. Last night I watched the Bears easily move the ball get a first down and proceed to end up with a 1st and 40 on three consecutive penalties against a Packer D that had no resemblance to the 65 Packers. There's a difference between great D and inept O. There's a difference between a game that's strategically played by using TOP and field position and one where a team is running out the clock with a lead and decides to chuck a pass to gain 4 yards and ends up stopping the clock and giving the other side a shot at winning the game. There's a difference between great D and a team with the clock and field position against them at the end of the first half down 4 decides to give the other team a shot at a FG instead of running out the clock and regrouping. Both teams played it like both teams D's actually were mediocre and expected to score on every and any possession. That game wasn't played like two teams that were in a death cage defensive battle. It was played like two teams trying to figure out why their O sucked.
People will complain at 10-3 and 60-50...but we'll keep watching. Watching and complaining. As long as people don't stop watching it like they did during kneelgate the NFL doesn't care. I think ratings have been trending upwards since then and last nights opener was up from 2018s
