Either auto-correct or I have had too much whiskey. I’d guess the former. But I edited my OP, Mrs. Williams.
I think that in the long run the better QB won today. Next year I’m not so sure. The Bills coach going for a 4th & 27 was dumb as shit.
If you're talking about the QBs, Watson is 24 years old and in his third year, Allen is 23 and in his second. So they both have the potential to get better. Meanwhile, Watson threw for 3852 yards this year with a completion percentage of 67.3 and a passer rating of 98.0. Allen threw for 3089 yards with a completion percentage of 58.8 and a passer rating of 85.3. Rushing-wise, Watson rushed for 413 yards on 82 attempts (5.7 Y/A), whereas Allen rushed for 510 yards on 109 attempts (5.8 Y/A). So they're comparable rushing, and Allen isn't in Watson's league as a passer. And if you want to compare their second years, Watson last year had a passer rating of 103.1, and he rushed for 551 yards. Watson is the better QB, and there's no comparison. If you're talking about the teams next year, the Bills aren't going to have a bottom 5 schedule anymore. They're primed for a regression.
We shall see now won’t we. Allen has a cannon of an arm that Watson really doesn’t, but as I said we shall see.
Arm strength isn't the main factor that determines a QB's ceiling. If you want to claim that Allen will be better than Darnold and Mayfield because of his arm, I won't argue against that. But Watson? That's a whole different level of QB.
I don’t think that happened. Line opened at 4 was bet up to 5 and just closed at 4.5. Some late money in the titans
