Rodgers obviously had a terrible first half. But the lack of adjustments and shitty gameplan against this running game all day is really why they lost this game. You can't allow almost 300 rushing yards and expect to have any chance to win an NFL game.
49ers put on a clinic today about what a good offensive line can mean to an offense. Hopefully somebody in the Jets front office had a pencil and a notebook.
Derrick Henry did it to the Patriots, and Ravens, Mozert is doing it to the Packers, I don’t think these coaches are rigidly sticking to their approach, sometimes the opposition is simply better.
I agree they will be favored, but I am not so sure about Heavy - thinking maybe 3.5 Niners defense is clearly better. But Chiefs offense is also clearly better. Edit - just saw opening line Chiefs -1.5 favored.
Unless our new GM has been lying to the media since taking the job, I think our OL is about to get a major facelift. Hopefully for the better, but we'll have to wait and see.
1) Yellow and Red Superbowl. 2) No Patriots or Steelers or Ravens representing AFC. 3) I like Andy Reid and glad to see him in the Superbowl again. 4) I like Kyle Shanahan 5) Pats fans will be upset for letting Garappolo go for a second rounder. All in all, great Sunday. P.S. Not listening @FJF anymore for NFL picks.
Packers won it by 3 minutes but that's a big skewed by bad field position. The 49ers had scoring drives of 0 yards, 33 yards, 37 yards and 44 yards. I would imagine the line opens around Chiefs -1 or 2 at most.
Conversely, the big win speaks to creative game plays, ends around etc. plus Coaching up a Pedestrian QB Garropolo taking down the 200 mill Rogers lmao. The Zone run scheme attacked GBs weakness...then they also lost because AR could not beat SF defense. As I've posted many times before when you have good management in place (Lynch) and good coaching (Shanahan ) good stuff will happen!
The Jets, for example, need to pump up the Offense in many ways..for SD But once that Base is Covered ..your Defense DOES win the Championship versus another good Offense My gut says the Niner D won't let Mahomes scramble around so much and make plays like he did
These quarterbacks should take notice on what Brady did with his salary for all of these years. Even though it's reportedly urking him now, I wonder how many of these quarterbacks are willing to sacrifice some millions for legacy. I can't say they should or shouldn't. I know how I am and I would be 100% about maximizing dollar value. But I've also never been a star athlete. But when you're already going to be rich and set for life. Maybe quarterbacks can look to signing $115 million contracts instead of $130 over 5 years or whatever the figures are.
