While it was a good win, the isles defense was porous once again, the caps skated around them like it was pick up game, if they play that type of defense in the playoffs, they will be swept in the first round. Honestly, I don't know how they have 93 points, I just can't figure it out. Congrats to the Rangers for making playoffs as well. I love playoff hockey!
Of course we win the game we likely would have been better off losing. Now watch the Rangers reach the ECF through the Atlantic.
I'm not going to complain about who they play, I just wanted them to make the playoffs. This team does not look like a 99 point team, they don't have the prolific second scorer to take the heat off JT, they don't have a dangerous second line, they also don't have a physical presence.
I also do not care who they play,,,I think both Pitt and Florida are pretty good teams ! If we play Florida I might be done there and get to one of the games,,,,,,if we play Pitt all I can say is beating Cindy would help erase some of the bad from this year and hell maybe Greiss stands on his head against his old team ? Bring them on whoever they are and let's win a payoff series !
I'm certainly being insecure about it. But the Rangers did their part today, and with all of our injuries we are better off resting our players these last two games.
So it comes down to this ,,,3 rd period starts soon,,,,Islanders down to the Flyers 3- 2,,,,if they win ,,,we get Pitt,,,,If they get a point or lose its on to the Panthers,,,,,,,,,talk to you in 20 plus minutes !
Good job laying the egg. Florida gives me much more optimism than Pitt, and the potential second round opponent I think the Isles would be considered the favorite regardless of who it is on that side. I'll be rooting hard for the Rangers on the Metro side.

Many tickets available in Florida,,,,I am going to wait and not buy tickets yet ,,,,,,have any of you guys ever been to a Panther game ? I m sure there will be lots of Islander fans there ,,,,,,debating if I bring the wife and little guy or just me and the big guy,,,,,,,leaning towards all of us going !
I did go to a playoff game in Tampa once...... The year Tampa won the cup, and beat the Isles 3-1 but that one was DiPietro's shutout.... when I was there I think there'd be more Isles fans down in Miami (West Coast has more mid-west / chicago transplants who drove down I-75 instead of I-95 )
