    It's pretty obvious that Bates thinks that his players are not even marginally competent. He might be right, but it's striking to see a coach who so clearly hates what he's doing.

    Its a winning combination of three factors. 1) converting 3rd downs is hard 2) the Jets aren't very good and then lastly the secret ingredient 3) they don't even try.
