you mean the year that the eagles had a train wreck O line and a defense that gave up the 3rd most points in the league but Foles still had a 60% completion pct? 2012 right, yeah that was it.

Bobby I said if both Denver and Seattle stay healthy there are no doubts in my mind there will be a rematch in the super bowl this year between both of those teams.

What does that have to do with the Jets?

He's already had a season cut short by injury and he's 30 years old. Could he just keep on playing at a prime pace despite that? Sure, but he's unlikely to be all-world in the process. The Packers got his prime season in 2011. He was 27 which is about the point at which you expect him to have that season. I'd say it's 50/50 he can get back to that level for a couple of seasons and the rest is a slow decline out to 33 and then a steep decline after that.

There have only been a handful of QB's in NFL history that were able to maintain prime performance into their mid-30's. Even with the increases in sports medicine that's not likely to change. It's about the individual when somebody manages to keep Father Time at bay.

I'm saying that Luck matters more to his teams success than Foles or even Wilson does.

thats no disrespect to those two, I'm not saying they're easily replaceable, just that their teams have more going for them to compensate from losing their respective talents at QB than Indy would.

Without Luck, the Colts are somewhat suspect to average in most spots beyond WR.

meanwhile the Seahawks still have a fantastic RB in his prime, and an elite defense, and the eagles have an innovative offense and their own great share of weapons.

Luck's a good QB because he's been able to put the team on his shoulders to a degree, Foles and Wilson might be able to do that yet, but they haven't because they're teams don't need to ask that of them.

I've got a feeling that you're absolutely wrong about that.

Rodgers is much more likely to be the next Brady or Manning, they got hurt too, and they've thrived since then. Not sure the "over the hill at 30" idea works for QB's, their shelf life is a little longer than that.

No I mean the Eagles defense that was ranked 11 spots higher than Indy's D that year when Luck managed to win 11 games as a rookie. Not to mention Luck has played behind one of the worse offensive lines the past 2 years and has had absolutely no running game to work with compared to the Eagles running attack that was in the top half of the league in 2012 and led the league last year. But all that stuff is stupid since Foles completed 60% of his passes.

Not when they get sacked and hit at the rate Rodgers has been getting sacked and hit. He's been sacked 75 times in his last 950 drop backs. That includes a 51 sack season the year before he got hurt. He's not a huge guy like Ben Roethlisberger. He's not going to stand up to that kind of punishment for long past 30.

Can we somehow age him there by accelerating the toll all the punishment would take on his body by 4:25 PM EST next Sunday?

D-line is very talented while DBs are young and inexperience. You will not be able to run but you will be able to have success in the passing game.

You guys think we can get after Geno Smith. With Matthews and Peppers I think we can get after him.

If Geno finally curbs his tendency to drop too deep in the pocket this week, then no. But chances are he will take his usual 15-20 yards drops a handful of times on Sunday providing the perfect filling for a Matthews/Peppers sandwich.

Using your criteria Foles just has to complete a higher % of his passes to be deemed the better QB.

And using your criteria it won't matter if he throws for 100% because his running backs are better.
