We haven't play Oak at home very much in recent times but we have won our last 4 against them at the Meadowlands. 1997: 23-22 highlighted by a Ray Mickens return of a blocked FG which ended a long home losing streak(last home win was 1995) 2005: 26-10, both teams playing out the string late in the year. 2006: 23-3 win to clinch a playoff spot in week 17 2013: 37-27 in the game that we hopefully will look back on as the turning point in geno's career. he was awful most of the year and hit rock bottom against Miami the week before but played great vs. oak and finished the year strong.

This is a bad move by the Raiders, this just went from a win to an easy win. They should sit Carr for a few weeks and let Schaub take his lumps. _
The two losses had little to do with the actual rookie QB's too. Seattle was a great team while the Jets were in a downward spiral and the Bills game the Jets were just terrible overall. PS: The Ryan Lindley game will never be forgotten. Could have been the worst game ever played in NFL history. McElroy with the game winning TD pass. Haha.
According to the Raiders forum, Jim Nantz and Phill Simms are calling our game. Kinda interesting considering all summer they were set to call the Steelers-Browns. Of course with Manziel on the bench, the game lost its intrigue, and now with Carr starting, apparently this is the A game on the CBS schedule.... No source was provided though so this might all be bs. The Bengals-Ravens looks like the best game on paper imo.
That is really interesting, dont ya think? CBS might be believing in the Jets. Week 2 CBS has us again the 4:25 spot, they also have the Broncos-Chiefs. I guess we could get a lot of nat. coverage =p
I have 23-17 Jets in a nailbiter with the Raiders having a chance to win the game with a late game drive vs the Jets D, and the Jets D(FOR ONCE) showing some heart and balls to seal the deal for the team. Game has the similar makings of the Raiders/Colts Week 1 game of last season where Terrelle Pryor after being the last named starter basically willed that team to a near improbable victory before coming up short...except Carr will get 3rd down conversion after 3rd down conversion to move the chain and frustrate our D as opposed to Pryor doing his work on the ground last season vs Indy. I think Antonio Allen(One of our CBs) will have the game saving deflection against Raider TE Mychael Rivera in the final drive that we will remember similar in vein to Demario Davis tripping up Vincent Jackson. Carr will have a nice game but comes up empty handed before Rex Ryan speaks glowingly of Carr's performance post game with a smile on his face at the presser. McFadden scares me more than MJD, there will be a brutal holding call on both Austin Howard and Willie Colon, the 2 RGs. These are shot in the dark guesses but watching as much football as I have, these are the type of things I am used to seeing from the Jets. Its never easy....you just know the Raiders WILL have a chance to win the game by the very end.
If you can get past Nantz Pats love, he's not bad. Its just too bad they either get Broncos or Pats games so his Pats bias comes out. His call of the Jets/Pats divisional game a few years back was laughable and how pissed off he was at Shonn Greene's TD celebration.
I was at that game so I didn't listen to him, I watched it on tape since but the Pats have been great. they deserve praise, he praised us too. I don't get worked up over the Greene comments, Simms handled that perfectly.
"HOW CAN YOU GIVE TOM...TOM BRADY A SHORTENED FIELD I WILL NEVER KNOW! THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MISTAKE!" He was in absolute denial, it was hilarious. There was almost no time on the clock and the Jets D was harassing Brady all game long and the Jets were 14 up with under 1:45 to go. I get he has to keep the viewers eyed to the TV but really the bitterness he had was evident.
