Soxx, you're an extraordinary troll, and I respect a good bullshitter being a bit of one myself, but you're also a pathetic fucking liar.

You gave yourself away a few posts back and you don't even realize how. Being a good liar means you have to keep all your lies straight and they can't contradict each other--otherwise you get caught.

Do yourself a favor and go buy the book today and read it so as to remedy at least one of your lies, because you know and I know you did not read that book.

Yet you derailed this thread and resorted to that lie to cover your tracks.

But you have a new BFF in Chad to defend you, so you have that going for you.

Btw, I don't put anyone on ignore. I like making fun of tools.

Again, the wannabe faux intelligenstia missing the point altogether. You're so myopic you missed the entire intent of the thread and having no history here can't understand why we all jumped down a supreme troll's throat.

YOU think it's about concusions and big bad owners. LOL.

And you're going to fix this place? You're delusional, we don't need it t be fixed, we need folks to understand the narrative. You sound reasonably intelligent, maybe you'll get it some day.

I didn't name names. Don't be so sensitive. As for the mods, would you disagree that they've let this nonsense continue more than long enough or is this what everyone here wants?
As for this guy's additional comments, I haven't read them nor did I address them. I've been consistent in asking those (who apply) that aren't allowing someone to express an opinion without ripping them. If you don't see the incivility, then you're closing your eyes.

In all honesty, if someone created a thread about concussions and who knew what and when did they know it, it would bring spiritied and varied discourse.

Not to demean you, but what went on here is an extension of what's been going on here with the resident troll and you can't possibly understand the responses towards the troll without that perspective.

If you started a thread about concussions you would find that while some of us may be dicks, we're not idiots.

Well if you didn't read his "additional comments" (that I was addressing) then you've nothing to say so back off boogaloo. And next time please be gentler....I'm very sensitive. ;)

No need for the dramatic approach, stay on topic.

The topic is about listing NFL participants who have passed away this year.

Not about what a bunch of "money loving scumbags" they may or may not have been.

Hey WW85, were THOSE comments on topic?

Apparently my language was a bit harsh.

Is calling Ralph Wilson a "scumbag" appropriate?

Just trying to gauge what's "on topic" and what type of language is inappropriate.

"Staying on Topic" is addressing the thread's topic and not getting personal. I don't care about people cussing in threads, but when it attacks another, it's inappropriate. Calling Ralph Wison a "scumbag" is 100% fine. A direct attack of a Poster at TGG, provoked or not, is inappropriate.

Again, any other questions , PM myself, another Mod or Petro....Thanks!!!

Robert Newhouse has reportedly died. He threw a touchdown pass in a Super Bowl.

What I like about the play is that it is rare to see a right handed RB run left and throw a pass.

Damn, loved Newhouse as a kid. I remember his thighs being bigger than my chest.

Ed Sprinkle, former Chicago Bears defensive end, dies at 90

PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. -- Former Chicago Bears defensive end Ed Sprinkle has died at the age of 90.
Sprinkle's daughter, Susan Withers, says her father died July 28 in the Chicago suburb of Palos Heights. Sprinkle played for the Bears from 1944 to 1955 under coach George Halas, including the 1946 championship team. Sprinkle was elected to the Chicago Sports Hall of Fame in 1984.
Just 200 pounds, Sprinkle was labeled the "meanest man" in football in a Collier's magazine article in 1950 and he was nicknamed "The Claw" for using his forearm to deliver blows to opponents.
Sprinkle went into the carpeting and tile business after his football career. He also owned a bowling alley. He stayed active with the NFL, playing in charity golf outings. Sprinkle served with the U.S. Navy.
