I asked this before..and Im just wondering here..nobody answered me...but couldn't Lebron take a 1 year deal from the Knicks for much less money and then sign again next year for the full amount?

I mean..if he really wants to play with Carmello..and Anthony does love N.Y....I mean..could that happen?

You guys all know that I think Lebron is extremely handsome...very personable...a great player...and perhaps one day if my dreams come true..future president of the USA? I love him today.

Could that happen? If not..explain why not.

Because he is not a Knick fan. You're a Knick fan so the question seems logical, but it's not.

Come on JS...stop the prejudices. You know that I know that you know that I think he is one of the most charming human beings ever to exit a womb. With that said..you are saying that that scumba....I mean Lebron couldn't sign with a team for less money...1 year..then resign for the max the following year?

Ok..that's what IM going with..the greatest player in the world has decided to play in the greatest city in the world. He will hold a decision night...on Broadway..and a huge banner will fall from the empire state building showing Lebron and Carmelo in NY Knick jerseys.

They the will hold a pep rally (need tickets!!) and abyz and I will be sitting first row. Man...hope he comes close to the end of the stage so I can touch him!!

Seriously...he is going to do that. Carmelo will sign a small contract...so will he. They then will get the big bucks next year..put it in the books. Lebron is a Knick. That's what this has been all about.

God...I love that guy. He carried that team too. Stupid Cavs...that decision show was an hour too short if you asked me.

Nope. Because as much as Knick fans think the rest of the world revolves around the Knicks and that they are a Tiffany NBA franchise and NYC and MSG is the mecca of basketball--to the rest of the country they're not.

Lebron is not going to risk potentially $100 million odd dollars to take a one year flyer on the Knicks with the possibility that he has a career ending or career treatening injury.

He does not give a shit about the Knicks or NY.

He cares about putting HIMSELF in the best position to win championships--he doesn't care about winning anything for the Knicks.

His brand is Lebron. He doesn't need NY. And from all accounts has no interest in playing here.

If he went to the Knicks 4 years ago you'd be sleeping in Lebron feetsie pajamas every night.

You can deny it all you want but you know it to be the truth.

So you are saying no decision show? No pep rally? So much hate for the only city in the world that sells out even with a shitty team? Are you trying to tell me that a championship in N.Y. wouldn't be the greatest thing to happen in the NBA?

You can be as negative as you want...but Im setting my DVR to tape ESPN everynight just in case Im not home for the pep rally.

Lol. And if he decides not to, the NY hordes will proclaim him a coward for not wanting to play in the greatest city in the world. Couldn't hack it. Not man enough. Pussy.

    He's bigger than NY.

Besides the fact that he's not a Knick fan, he doesn't need it.

JS...are you hard of reading? I would have serviced his wife and drove his kids to school every day. Have I not told you that a hundred times? Why do you continue to ignore that I hate his guts but would possibly have sex with him if he came..then..or now?

Lol. You are confusing your fandom with the rest of the country. Nobody cares about the Knicks other than Knick fans.

Oh I know you are just busting, I find it funny that Knick fans think that Lebron would somehow gain some sense of urgency for helping the Knicks get back to the promised land and that would somehow complete him or make him a supertar.

    It's cute.

Totally disagree with you about N.Y. .every league has better ratings and does much better when the NY teams are good. From a fans standpoint? Of course...but besides the NFL..every league would die to have winners in NY.

I will tell you whats not cute for any player. Playing in a city where the fans leave with 5 minutes to go in a championship game when you are down 13. If you think players don't get more pumped up playing at MSG then MOST arenas...then...lets just stop the discussion there bud because nobody will ever convince me of that. You hear every player say it...and you seem to have a real problem with that fact.

That's being kind. The fans were heading for the door in the third quarter. In fact, Spoelstra's wife posted a video of them leaving in the 3rd.

Again I think you are confusing coming to NY and MSG to play a game and coming to NY to resurrect the Knickerbocker franchise.

MSG may be a great place to play (I think it's overrated but I'll tell you more after Thursday night--I am playing there with Darryl Chocolate Thunder Dawkins and Larry Grandmama Johnson) but NOBODY other than Knick fans give a shit about the Knicks. I also think players espousing MSG are working off the script because that's what everyone says. What, you're gong to rip MSG?

But players on every team are not laying awake at nite thinking "if I could only somehow get to the Knicks and help them win a Championship I'll be FAMOUS and a MESSIAH!"

I have a lenghty drive to an from work everyday and I listen to sports talk radio and you don't know how many delusional Knick fans keep chanting that same mantra "we know XXXXX wants to come to NY because he knows if he wins he'll be immoratlazedblahblahblah".

    It's naive, but cute.

Like I said earlier, I don't think this is anything other then him opting out so he can take less money because clearly Bosh and Wade aren't good enough to help LeBron win more titles. I think he takes less money and the Heat make a run at Kyle Lowry.

Can't see that happening, sorry. While I agree, it's a 50/50 chance he comes back to Miami, he is not looking for another pay cut. He took a massive one in 2010 and now you want him to play for less money than Wade? Wade is tied up in a contract and as far as I know, he isn't restructuring shit from all reports. That would leave Wade at $42 million over the next two seasons. You think LeBron James is gonna take less money than Wade as the best basketball player on the planet? No way. He ain't taking a cut. His salary is already too low for his standard.
