Folks, I'm one half away from completing my mush against Florider State. I said dat Notah Dame as a double digit dawg had NO SHOT in dis game, and dare up by 7 at da half. Waitasekent, I nevah said dat. I didn't say dat!
I don't even bother listening on weekdays anymore but I listen on Sunday mornings. Worst part of the show is he brings on some doctor to waste time every week. Last week someone called up to talk about the concussion problem. Francesa hung up on him right away, saying "I don't think we are gonna solve the concussion problem today" Another time on the show he hung up on someone questioning his ranking of NFL players, saying "when you've had as much success as I've had, then call me back"
The doctor thing is so gimmicky imo, he does it for rating. He hates fantasy football but why else would you bring in a doctor who is going to talk about how much Calvin Johnson or Jimmy Graham are going to play? its actually hypocritical of him, he knows what he is doing there.......but he would never admit to it.
I heard one call today. A caller said that Idzik fears for his job, that's why he brought in Harvin. Woody wants excitement win or lose. Mike was on board with that. Probably a set up. If Woody hasn't learned anything after Favre and Tebow he never will. Idzik will not talk to Mike and no one holds a grudge like Francesa. Since Woody hired Idzik and I assume he will let him go on for a while. I think the club is making progress but it may take a little time to show it on the scoreboard.
The truth about Francesa is that he will be around as long as the highest percentage of sports media consumers fit the profile of lowest common denominator. Those who consume sports media and want a better product learned long ago that you must resort to the internet, but unfortunately it is too small of a percentage of the whole to get a change in quality of the baseline. It's the same way tabloid media works, because even though there are numerous people who know that it's bullshit, there is a high enough percentage of people out there willing to consume it that there's no reason for it to upgrade it's product.
He brought up the prospect of the Steelers moving on from Roethlisberger. I cant find any validtity to it but a report did come out last year that Ben wanted out, the Steelers even were considering trading him before the 2010 season due to the controversy. Ben only has next year left on his contract, I wonder if this is a possibility, I wonder if he might want to move on.
Da Steelaz might wanna jumpstot da franchise by tradin' Roethlisberga. It might not be a bad thing ta do.
Dat was me from a vacation to da Gulf of Mexicer in July a few yehuhs ago. I was doin' my Flippa impersonation for da kids.
Wait a second. What is dis? Dat neva happened. Who did dis pikja? I NEVA HELD A-ROD LIKE A TODDLA! What is wrong wit you people. Don't you have somethin' betta ta do den make fake photos of me and A-Rod. Go read a book or somethin'. Ya gotta find somethin' betta to do wit ya life.
Trading a 32 year old franchise QB is generally not a good idea unless you have someone you're really confident in. There is no one like that on the Steelers' roster, so unless they draft one and trade Roethlisberger before training camp, that isn't going to happen.
