Think that MDJets meant Bellore (pretty sure you weren't being serious though). In any event, Bellore's an RFA.
The Jets have a bunch of different areas where they are needy at the moment. The needs come in several different categories. Front line talent: TE, WR, OG, FS, OLB (maybe), CB (maybe). Depth: TE, WR, OT, OLB, ILB, FS N-F-L: OT, OG, OLB, ILB, FS, SS (maybe) When you start looking at the positions that come up over and over again you wind up with a good hierarchy of need for the Jets at this point. OLB, FS, TE, WR, OG, ILB, OT, CB, SS Basically the Jets have very little talent at FS and TE. They have one year solutions, older players aging out or beginning to get in that range at OLB, OG, ILB and OT. They maybe have talent issues at WR, CB and SS. They have additional depth issues at WR. That's why this team is likely a year out from any kind of serious contention. The QB situation is not ideal at this point but the entire structure of the roster needs a year of serious work to get to the point that an injury doesn't just flip the turtle over on it's back.
Yeah I wasn't being serious, and sorry to MDJets for my having a douchebag moment, but I was in the beginning moments of having to take a raging hot wings dump and now that I have completed that process I am regretful of my ire.
Who the hell is Charlie Kelly? Just kidding! No problem, that can be quite painful. Just wash you hands before touching your eyes or your genitals after eating the wings man... Other than being a solid Special teams player, I thought Bellore was going to get some more opportunities in 2013 after looking pretty good in 2012...We got Davis in 3rd round so I expect we'll pick up a LB in mid rounds.
May be structured with $3M guaranteed but from what I read he will make $8M if he makes it through the year, being he was due $7.5M before the extension this just allows them to push a little money into 2015/16.
Thank you Maslow for narrowing down our needs. So we have 9 needs and 12 picks as of this morning, I think this can be addressed by training camp. I hope our scouting department does a good job this year.
We don't need Wilfork,I just wanted him to anger the Pats and there fans because Wilfork was there leader on defense for many years,He is a upgrade over Ellis in my eyes so if we rotated those two it could be intresting.Have Wilfork come in on passing downs only and Ellis can stop the run
I wasn't really sure why the Jets would be looking at MJD. I think I guy like Dri Archer or D'Anthony Thomas or someone similar in the draft would be a much better fit in the Jets apparent plans. RB is one of the few positions where there really is no learning curve form NCAA to NFL.
dont care about mjd..but again.. im conviced mehta has made up alot of stuff.. cimini and brian costello have barley reported anything...because there is nothing to report...
Well we have Goodson or can draft someone. Even with just Powell and Ivory we were 6th overall in rushing yards (only 6 yards behind 5th overall team), 5th overall in attempts, 6th in average rush yards per game...given, we were middle of the pack in rushing TDs but we weren't good at getting TDs in any respect last year.
