Is no one familiar with Charles Sims out of WVU? He fits the bill perfectly for what we need in a back, and should be around late in the third. He is a steal that late, as i believe he is the best overall back coming out this year. He is sure handed and has the power to run inside and the speed to run outside the tackles when asked to. Being a four year college player with two different teams, he has been subject to various blocking schemes and can hold his own when faced with a blitz. Season stats at WVU below. He transferred from Huston and played a single season with the mountaineers in 2013. Mind you he put these stats up with a subpar offensive line and 3 different starting quarterbacks in a tough Big 12 conference. SEASONATTYDSAVGLNGTD RECYDSAVGLNGTD 201320810955.37611 454018.9383
Dri Archer should be available by the 4th round and can get utilized as a RB/WR/KR. He'd be perfect because of his versatility.
It really wouldn't be that bad for him, I'm glad he's gotten the experience personally, but all that matters for Smiths career is that he improves, not that he wins a starting job. not saying those are exclusive (obviously) but a little time to soak things in with a genuine alternative option would be a nice luxury to have.
No, we restructured Goodson's deal to make it more appropriate to his contribution level. His $650K roster bonus got pushed out to 2015 and upped to $850K. That's money he won't see until he earns it, as opposed to the freebie he was going to get this year after doing nothing last year.
It's money we shouldn't spend given the reality of Mike Goodson at this point. Whether it effects the cap or not is besides the point because the Jets clearly did not make the move to clear cap space. They made the move to avoid paying Goodson more than they have to after the issues he caused last year.
God I wish that POS Goodson was off of this team. I would really like us picking up local guy Knowshon Moreno if it's for cheap, and we could roll with Moreno, Ivory, Powell. Moreno blocks very well which is something we need in the worst way.
@TurnOnTheJets: Hey Now RT @Dennis_Agapito: Jets are looking to swing a trade for Houston Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph, per source #nyj .... Don't know how reliable but take it for what it's worth! Lol
Ivory and this kid. I'm scared that the fucking dolphins are going to get him. I've watched the play at 4:15 like 50 times. lol
Agree I'm thinking with him and Giacominni we have two passionate bad assess. If they can avoid penalties it will be interesting while we groome the new guys
the right side of the line is solidified... I want competitions at RG and RT regardless, (especially RG) but I'm good with what we have and who the projected starters are. Now that LG spot needs a backup option as well... Winters should get as much time as needed to get accustomed to his role and the other lineman seem to want him to do it, but we can never be too sure.
