If you need a new punching bag or scapegoat, then by all means, sign Pettigrew. Trust me, you'll hate the guy in a matter of weeks. Extremely inconsistent hands and an inconsistent blocker. Amped up his play in a contract year.
You know 2 TE sets exist right? To anyone that understands football, pairing Pettigrew with Cumberland, given their strengths and weaknesses, is a smart idea.
Keep in mind that according to PFT DRC has already turned down a 6 year $54 million offer from Denver (prior to them signing Talib). I don't see us breaking the bank for his demands.
Rich Cimini @RichCimini 1m Forgot to mention a couple of days ago, but Garrett McIntyre didn't receive RFA tender. Now a FA. A little surprising. #Jets thin at OLB.
So you're telling me that a TE that is a horrid run blocker, above average pass blocker, and is a bad receiver should be considered a good tight end? Keep telling yourself that, bud. We also should ignore the fact that all Lions fans are thrilled to get rid of him and all have nothing but poor things to say about him. BUT LOL I SAW A YOUTUBE VID.
Heh, if he leaves after 1 year that really sucks for New England. A lot of dead money for a player that won't be on the team 12 months from now.
I know hes not the most polished but i would love to bring in major wright on a cheap deal him and AA starting at safety
Hopefully they do. Kid would be unheard of if he didn't play for ND. Did u watch what he looked like against NFL caliber linemen? He was manhandled. Pray they pick him up to replace Wilfork. PRAY.
I wouldn't mind bringing him in to compete. I wouldn't just hand him the job, though. Landry has much experience with Rex's defense and you can't overlook that so easily.
He was fine but he's battling with an injury right now that could cause him to slip a bit. He had a pretty good season for the Irish in 2013.
Good luck with that renegotiation / restructuring with Mevi$. After giving the Pats a one year discount , Revis will want to get paid next year !
