Revis deal w/ NE actually 2 yrs, but only for cap purposes. Gets $10M signing bonus, $500k in roster bonuses (per game basis) + $1.5M base. So much for them not having cap space. For Revis, this was more about spiting the Jets than anything. We know he's all about the money, he could have signed for much more guaraneed elsewhere. Patriots aren't winning jack with that offense
100% agree here. i mean its not like our db's were the problem last year it was definitely our linebacker core......... /sarcasim
Don't think they'll be improved even in the slightest with full OTAs and preseason? It's still lackluster name wise, but we know Brady can make it work.
Ugh,I wanted moore last time he left new orleans. Turns out he is only good with brees throwing to him. I would pass on moore
Considering I believe they resigned Jacoby Jones and adding Steve Smith? Yes that would be very good for us. Plus Golden Tate going to the Lions takes them out of the picture for a WR too so..Mike Evans dropping to us?
They'll likely cut Amendola to free up more cap space, and the Browns are going hard after Edelman. What receiver on that roster will make up for 105 receptions? Dobson is out for 3 months from foot surgery. Gronk is recovering and may never ever be healthy for a full season again. Their top weapons are Thompkins and Boyce. Ravens about to scoop up Steve Smith. Nicks wants to go to Carolina. Kenny Britt will likely end up NE but he ain't catching 105 balls. Keep in mind New England relied on Edelman heavily last year
they have the best QB of this generation, a man that thrives no matter who he has to throw to. They will be fine on O, if they get significantly better on D they can win it all.
He's got the most talent, but not the best work ethic or heart for the game. He's an under-achiever. I doubt that Idzik has any serious interest in him. He probably just reached out as a backup Plan C or D if they can't re-sign Cro or sign another FA.
Swapping Talib for Revis doesn't make them significantly better. That offense doesn't stand a chance in hell going up against the Broncos. As far as I am concerned, they haven't done anything regarding their d-line, 0-line and linebacking core. Spikes is a FA, Hightower sucks, Mayo is good but not great.
They have absolutely no chance of getting past Denver no matter what they do with the additions Denver made on defense.
Luckily they will also be adding Mayo, Gronkowski and possibly a healthy Wilfork. Your statement is foolish homerism and nothing more. I agree, they will need to add a WR or two, but it's foolish to think they have no chance. It's March 13...
CBs. I didn't say anything about DBs. Read much? Obviously, you haven't been paying much attention the last 2-3 years, either, and have totally missed how TEs and RBs have killed us over the middle. The OLB positions and the S positions need to be upgraded. The CBs are fine. Rex doesn't value the S position very much, either.
There are plenty of playoff scenarios where Denver will meet New England, one of them being a wild card. Sounds like someone is afraid they will take the AFCE
