whatever. revis -no revis. get to tom brady = beat the patriots. revis is still only able to cover 1 guy, right?
Revis did not take the money either. stunning. He surely could have gotten 3 year deal, i guess he wants to prove himself and make bank next year but how much more does he have? could he really be worth more than 12 million heading into the future?
I don't really like the thought of playing a rookie and a sophomore. However, most of the attractive CBs are gone. It seems as if the FO thinks this will be another rebuilding only year. Bet Cromartie returns.
You can't say "we had all this room and needed a CB how could we let him go to NE blah blah blah" because it's VERY obvious he was dead set on NE no matter what. Why accept a one year deal when he could have had that same number for multiple years from pretty much half the league? And maybe it's just me, but who cares? Seriously, who cares? This doesn't make the Pats good enough to win a ring and we aren't going to be competing for a ring this year. I'm ridiculously unfazed by this move.
This sucks. But it isn't the world's end. It's a one year deal, not some long term thing. Another thing to remember is that the Pats basically have no cap space now. They are done with FA.
“@RichCimini: I don't think Revis wanted a Jets reunion. It was a transparent ploy by his camp to stimulate the market and get #Jets fans worked up.” "@Brian_Bassett: #KeepCalmAndDeckerOn”
I hope Geno lights him up. Can't wait for that first game in new Jersey Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
A And let's not forget this is the deepest WR draft in decades. A smart GM woul use this as leverage to sink the per year $ a F A WR is looking for.
