Like others have said, the Pats would have to deplete their cap for him. Fine. I think Oakland lands Revis though. Revis will demand they beat that Asomugha contract and they will. Also, Revis is a little diva and loves the LA spotlight.
My ideal situation would be Revis not signing with the Jets or the Patriots. I hope he goes to Oakland or Cleveland.
Not necessarily he has an opportunity to start in a place like Jacksonville or Oakland so were going to have to wait and see what happens on that front.
as much as id like him here again, as long as no one in the AFC East (pats) get him then I will be fine
I hope the Jets get him but if they don't and he goes to NE I won't lose any sleep over it. A single CB is not getting anybody to the SB and who would be on the other side from him? I have no idea.
Are you really comparing a CB to a QB???????? A team can easily avoid Revis. You can't keep the QB from getting the ball. Comparing a player who touches the 70 times a game to a player who may not touch the ball at all is crazy, and so is paying a CB QB money, which is what Revis demands. Let him go to NE . I'd be happy . It will screw up their cap for years.
Where has he ever indicated that he is a diva and loves the off the field spotlight, other than just wanting to get paid.. All indications I've seen are the opposite. He's a very serious work individual and he doesn't like the spotlight off the field
What a wild offseason so far right? I didn't think it was going to be like this. I hope we sign decker for 4 years 30 million with some incentives built in-- then make a run at signing Revis for 12 million a year. If we landed those two we will be looking good. It won' t be easy though--everything with Revis contractually is such a head ache- Do we go for James Jones if we sign decker? Also the MJD stuff has gone quiet recently.. I hope we still pursue that.
MJD news is quiet overall we were pretty much the only team seriously interested in him I'm actually hoping we sign him he's a great locker room guy and I still thing he can play.
